Darci is a Colorado native. She successfully completed a BA Journalism Mass Communication & BA Speech Communication from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. After a brief journalism career, where she lived & worked in Wyoming, Colorado, & Arizona, Darci went back to school to earn a Masters in Secondary Education and started a teaching career that quickly brought her focus online! 

 

After eight years of experience, she is passionate about helping teachers, coaches, & students communicate effectively and loves to present ideas and collaborate with teachers and coaches. 

I live in the Pittsburgh, PA area and certainly have my fair share of black and gold apparel.

I love writing and hope to have a best-seller one day.

A bread-maker and smeller-of old-books, I can be found barefoot outdoors as much as possible.

And while eggs are my favorite food, if I  had one meal remaining, I'd choose grilled salmon served rare.

I have been teaching for eleven years and teaching online for nine years.

I also think the most important question you can ask after reading a book is, "So, what did you think?"

Jamie rejoined the organization in 2017, to lead Edmentum’s strategic vision and long term growth plan as President, CEO, and Board Director, bringing her successful record of accomplishment as an executive with extensive experience in education technology, private equity, and policy. Jamie was selected by Minnesota Business magazine as one of the 2015 (Real) Power 50, by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as a 2017 Titans of Technology honoree, and 2017 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist. Most recently, Jamie was selected as one of EdTech Digest’s Top 100 Influencers in EdTech and she was recognized by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as a 2018 Women in Business honoree. She sits on the board of directors for Project Success, a MN-based education non-profit and serves as an advisory board member for Bethel University’s Department of Business and Economics.

Jamie holds a Master of Business Administration from Bethel University and a Bachelor of Science in political science from the University of Wisconsin. Her ambitious personality, relentless commitment to serve educators and students, and strong leadership inspire her teams to build and implement education programs that promote and support lifelong teaching and learning.

Teaching Science has been my passion for 41 years and I have taught in brick/mortar schools as well as in behavioral and private schools and online.

I currently teach Earth and Space Science, Physical Science, Environmental Science and Astronomy for EdOptions Academy.

I have served as a Pennsylvania Department of Education College Evaluator of Teacher Education Programs.

I am in my 18^th year of education and in my fourth year with Edmentum.  I started teaching at the university level as an undergraduate student. For the first 4 years, after graduation, I taught in a brick and mortar school, then transitioned to online education.  I’m passionate about my children, education and sports.  I love teaching higher level math such as calculus and discrete math.  Everyone can learn math, it’s just a matter of presenting it, in such a way, the student can relate. 

As a non-traditional student herself who attended public schools, private school, and eventually was home-schooled in high school, Mrs. Holland loves and appreciates the need for individualized options to make school accessible to everyone.  As part of the Edmentum team, Mrs. Holland values the #EducatorFirst motto. Our school allows both the teachers and the students to thrive in a safe and supportive learning environment. Mrs. Holland’s goal is to share her love of learning with those around her regardless of the subject area. She knows everyone has their own gifts and talents and life is best when we collaborate and work together to do strengthen each other.
