Anthony Brindisi supports the Second amendment, but believes that it is important to prevent the guns from getting into the hands of dangerous criminals and those who are mentally unstable. By talking this stance for the 2nd amendment, he appeals to some leftward leaning Republicans as well as most of those in his own party. He plans on accomplishing this by improving the background check process and investing more in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) to make sure that guns do not fall into the wrong hands.

-I believe that Brindisi will win by 7% percent at most as this is a VERY close race as far as support form the voters and endorsements
-1.) Brindisi has somewhat right leaning views on low amounts of intervention in the economy as well as with the 2nd amendment; therefore, he appeals to those in his own party and some left leaning Republicans. This could be the small amount of voters that could be the difference and lead to his victory.
-2.) Tenney is very much so a Republican and has virtually no appeal to independents or right-leaning democrats as she is largely a idealized Republican who would most likely vote party lines.
-Opposing View: This district has had a Republican Representative since the 2012 election, so it is not likely that it will change soon.
