Scenario 1:
As programming involves substantial planning, students would have notes e.g. flow charts or handwritten versions of the program which they can submit as evidence. Students could also submit a draft copy or a plan for what they intended to do in the program.
Scenario 2:
Dependent on the context of the task, it may be an issue for security/ plagiarism reasons, however if it's just to access shared resources or softwares then it would be okay. We would allow the students to go to IT if need be so they could have the issue fixed so it doesn't cause issues in other classes.
Scenario 3:
Ask the students if they have any other work or assessments to complete from other subjects which they can use the time to work on those. If they have no other work to do then allow computer games providing they are educational.
Scenario 4:
As a teacher with duty of care, remove the laptop in question with the inappropriate content away from students (if in computer lab ask students in that area to move away while teacher makes note of details of content for IT to investigate) change lesson to change the setting so no other students see it, and call the year co- ordinator, principal and IT to come and look at it. Discreetly debrief with the student to find out what exactly happened. Allow student to go and see the school counsellor if need be, and allow one of their friends to go with them for support. If student is particularly distressed, ask another teacher to supervise the class whilst you look after the distressed student and collect information on what happened.

Scenario 1:
Students should be encouraged from the beginning of term to upload their work gradually, either to a google drive or class web-page. This ensures they have record of their process and can build on their work.
If this does not happen, and the students work is lost, they could apply for special consideration.

Scenario 2:
Teacher to have record of students username add password and can update it when it changes.
Teacher to have a spare account and keep track of which student uses it when. That way students can't copy each others work.

Scenario 3:
When the class has been well behaved throughout the lesson, it can be appropriate the give them an alternate task for the last 10 minutes. It is best the over-prepare so even if there is left over time you can give them something that is on topic and relevant to that lesson.

Scenario 4:
Close down the search immediately and get all students attention. Advise the students of the inappropriateness, and try to segue into a new topic. Ask the particular student if they need to go outside or maybe to the year advisor. After the class, email the year advisor and alert them of what has happened. Alert to IT team straight away.

Scenario 1:
As the project has been ongoing for 10 weeks, the student should have notes either digitally backed up or in their workbooks. The student may be granted an extension but it shouldn't be too long.

Scenario 2:
It depends on the type of task and privacy could also be an issue. Probably best to get it fixed.

Scenario 3:
Depending on when the lesson is taking place, if it's before an exam, probably not. But if all the work from the lesson has been completed it would be nice to reward them.

Scenario 4:
Depending on the severity, address it with the whole class. Remove the inappropriate content. Follow up with the student at the end of the lesson and report to HoD and IT.

Scenario 1:
While this is an unfortunate situation, the student should have kept constant backups of their work both online and on a separate device.
(USB or secondary computer)
Ask the student for evidence of their work (drafts, progress diary, logs), as this will serve as an indicator for the work that they would have done, which would help determine the next step for this student (likely an extension/special consideration).

Scenario 2:
This is an issue as the student may use their peer's account for fraudulent or inappropriate activities. Approach the student and ask if there is an issue and provide them with their access information if possible.

Notify the class at the end of the session of what to do should they have forgotten their information as well as the potential consequences associated with this action, such as personal information being leaked.

Scenario 3:
Commend the class for their behavior and allow them to play their computer games, though ensure that the class is aware that this is an exception, and not the example for what happens if students are exceptional all the time.

This is because after a certain period of time students will expect their good behaviour to be rewarded, when that particular behaviour is something that should be achieved all the time.
Rewards should be used to encourage behaviour, but should not be expected for staying on task and completing their work.

Type of game depends on when the session is held-if it is in the middle of the day, it must be related to the topic, otherwise (if it is right before students leave to go home) they may be permitted to play whatever they like (though this may potentially lead into Scenario 4)

Scenario 4:
Remove the inappropriate content immediately and discuss the issue with the student. After the end of the class, Report the incident to the appropriate individuals (Councilor, Head Teacher, & Year coordinator) and notify the IT staff in order to ensure that the website containing this inappropriate material cannot be reached through the school internet.
Follow up with the student the following lesson and ask them if they are okay.

Scenario 1:
Ask the student for a picture of their crashed computer(or some sort of evidence that their computer has crashed, e.g. an email sent out to the computer company notifying that issue). Ask them to talk through what theyve done in their assessment and show any back up or working ideas. Then give an appropriate extension.
If student can't provide proof of their computer crashing, and you presume they are lying, tell them you cannot give any extension and they must hand whatever they have.

Scenario 2:
Depends on what the password and username is for.
If it is for a game or an interactive activity, it's okay you mention in class. You will talk to the student later and follow the procedure for a new password and username.
If it is for something like a test, prepare a backup worksheet and tell them that they cannot use someone else's details. Give them a warning (and also the person who provided their details).
If its for something like emails or google classroom, ask them to not use someone elses details and follow the forget password procedures.

Scenario 3:
If it's at the end of the term, it is okay. As long as the games are appropriate and it isn't disrupting someone.
Topic related games as a whole class rather than individual. Since its only 10 minutes, only game would be enough.

Scenario 4:
Remove the device. Give them time out and individual work that is separate from what they were doing. If they need to, they can go to the sick bay. Allow them to go for a walk in the hallway where you can see them (duty of care!).

1. When constructing the assessment make sure that the programming software is cloud based.

1. As this is a 10 week task you would expect there to be some sort of back up or proof that the student has been working on their project throught the term. Ask to see this. From here allow the student an extension if you can see the relevent evidence that the work was truely lost due to computer failure.

2. Send the student to the IT office to get a new user and password.

3. I would allow the students to have some free time. this will be used as positive reinforcment for the students to continue to work hard.

4. Allow the student to take time to go have a drink and get some air. If the student is quite distressed arrange for the school counselor to see them.
