In your computer science major, you will learn many different things pertaining to computer science such as algorithms, problem solving, and programming. The program of study shows you different areas and, next to it in parentheses, how many credits required in that area. Below each area is the different courses you can take in that area, with each showing you how many credits it will give you right next to it. The program will also tell you any special requirements or recommendations to enhance your learning experience. The main question I have is about the areas that don't list any courses. Do I not need to take courses in these areas? Or are they simply not required.
