There never seems to be any time. You have to immediately begin the next sprint. We tend to review as we go. Also, some things that didn't go well may not be able to be helped, or their may not be time to improve that feature of the CMS for example

People may not feel comfortable giving feedback in big groups so a one to one, more personal chat maybe beneficial.

Yeah, a Retrospizza ;) used to be a time of work/fun balance Thursdays where the team set a retrospective meeting and came up with great feedback, brainstorm, etc.

I have lead teams of engineers and personalities are a wonderful thing to deal with, to be able to communicate and create a space of confidence to provoque a dialogue is challenging but can be amazing when works. so I guess that been able to generate that dialogue is an important thing to do

There is a strong belief that we don't need it at all. Moreover, we don't have any extra time for reflections. It's just a "sprint to sprint" work, and that's all.

A timed exercise to collect quick feedback on what's going right, what needs improvement, and questions/queries. Using an online board tool where everyone adds their thoughts, all these cards are shown on screen but not revealed until everyone has finished.

I agree that anonymity is good for encouraging sharing - but the effect is likely to be limited for smaller teams. It should be about stressing the value of everyone's thoughts and an empathic, listening environment. People should keep the focus on the work/product, not the individuals responsible. Feedback should be phrased in terms of both the positive and the learning points.

I would start with a relaxed ice-breaker exercise to lighten the mood. Then I would alternate different feedback methods to make the session dynamic and exciting. To ensure that all team members can express their opinions.
