Right away I understood that so many inspiring activities and ideas will open my eyes and enlargen my horizon about teaching. The facilitators are experienced in catching our attention during sessions, which I take notes to try on my students as well. “Stand by me” activity is one of them, which let the students wake up in the beginning of the lesson. In a classes where students are reluctant to take part in English, this activity will be my savior. 
Differentiation is something I should be careful about during my teaching experience as I have many Syrian students at my local school. In the second day of the program, we focused on it to be well rounded teacher.  Especially, differentiation in listening skills got my attention. The ideas by my colleagues showed me how I should act during my teaching experience.

In teaching English, we, teachers, should give more importance to speaking. The third day of the program began with speaking activites and showed the importance of it. 

Today's activities covered up so many speaking activies that i could adopt to my lessons with my studens in any levels. I am sure my students in any level with enthuasisam because today even i got excited about them thanks to my experienced facilitators. For example, as a warm up activity, asking quick questions to the students and expecting answers back could be really fun for both me and my students. 

Another activity that i really loved is choosing a picture that is important to talk about and then showing our friends. This digital activity could turn into non digital activity asking student to pick an important item and talk about it with other friends. That activity is on my to-do-list for sure.

Finally, today i learned about modelling. building a sufficient modelling will be really helpful for my students. I will have to check it out more though.

Today in the fourth day of the programme, i and my group partners couldnt stop laughing at a joke while getting prepared for the activity. I was both nervous and at the same time glad to be part of it. During that time, I had a thought... a thought of feeling special about part of the program. Our facilitators build a free atmosphere for us to  express ourselves. And, I really get the feeling of being special in this project and feeling the connection among friends. My classmates become my model whom I get so many interesting ideas and motivational approach for my teaching experience. Some of the teachers joining the class are really experienced and some are new like me. We share our ideas and encourage ourselves to be better. I am thankful for this oppurtunity. 

Today is also special for me because i had the chance to talk about my project that i did with my previous students in cappadocia, which was uploading videos on instagram. I really felt i did something right with my students. I saw that my classmates were supportive and very interested in my project, which made me feel proud on what i did. I hope to continue being an inspriation for others. 

Reading activity is something i struggle with at my local school. That's why I gave my full attention to it. My students hate reading passages. However, today i learnt that I could change and differentiate my techniques while the reading activity. My students will be more interested then they used to be. At least i hope.

Tomorrow, we will have writing activites. The writing skill is important for me, that’s why i came to the class with interest and enthusiasm; however, because the session was short it did not match with my interests. I would add more non digital materials so that I could try to plan with my classes at school. But planning some course book activities also helped me open my eyes. 

Actually, what this program helps me is I should think the other way around while having lessons. All of my classmates are also teachers and they are really happy to share their teaching experience with me. I dreamed about being surrounded with PDC teachers. I believe our English Language Team could be so dynamic that our workplace and our students could get the most benefit of what we would do. I wish we could spend more time together and get inspired by ourselves. Sadly, we are in the middle of the program and the end is coming near. I will try to get the most benefit of what I am experiencing and would love to share my thoughts with my colleagues in Osmaniye. 

What about today's activity? Grammar and vocabulary are the most challenging subject at my local school. Therefore, I opened my ears to get every bit of it. at my school, what i struggle the most is my grammar activities are mostly "post activity" exercises,which means I assume the students understand the grammar subject and my exercises become post activity. So, in today's sessions  I challenged myself to transform the activities into teaching grammar with the activities. I kind of managed that but I guess I should research more. I am happy with my students' reaction that they understand grammar with implicit teaching but I will challenge more. 

Agi and Muzeyyen Teacher are really helpful and lead us professionally. I feel like i can be in a great communication with them whenever I need to ask a suggestion. The final challenge and mission for us is to prepare a micro PDC session. As a teacher, I am used to being in front of the class and interacting with the students and I hope it will be as easygoing as like in my classes with my students. I am sure my classmates here won't judge me or won't make fun of me because they are all understanding and friendly. I feel lucky to be in this "Magnificent 7" as Agi says during the lesson.

Feedback and assessment are really important part of "testing" and "evaluating" my students. Seeing many different types of feedback and assessment helps me be well-rounded teacher as my students need to see their progress. There are several types of the assessment and feedback that I already use during my teaching eperience. However, preparing question in "cloze" form and evaluate through "cloze" made me think about it again because Agi helped me review what I have done while preparing questions in "cloze" or in any other form. Till now I always thought "cloze" form of test evaluates the students' knowledge of language and usage of language. Agi pointed out that it might not be the best option for that and showed different type of testings. I will have to adopt them to my classes as well. 


The whole afternoon was about the micro PDC session that we are going to do on Tuesday. The group that I am going to work with consists of people, I believe, having the same approach towards teaching style and aiming the same outcome with me. The micro PDC session will be interesting because i will have to do it on my own later in September till June probably. and I would love to be like one of the instructors here. I would love to improve myself and see myself sharing new ideas with my collaegues. 

I am excited about what future will bring to me. What I know is I want to get as far as I can and see myself grow. PDC is the luckiest thing that can ever happen to me in the recent years. I feel motivated, I feel encouraged. After spending a week here, I want to go home with hopes and enthuasiam to do more. I had to look all over what I did since the beginning. The picture I uploaded is what I organized and brainstormed with my classmates. This program took me back to the old university days when I used to find the most creative part of me inside. I am thankful for that. 

Tomorrow is the day when we will present our presentation, which is going to be everything we have learnt during this program.  I am grateful for being in my group. My friends are really friendly and helpful.
