I used another website first, spent hours, just to be told I had to pay to use the image. After, I decided to use Canva since I had used it in the past.
If I am not mistaken, I have always been around the ISFJ personality. I think one letter was different, but for the life of me I can't remember which letter.
I really didn't learn anything new, just confirmed what I already knew.
As far as collaboration, I know that I do better if I establish a relationship with the teacher first.
As far as my audience, this would be good to send out in a newsletter to the teachers or even a quick email.
I hope that teachers will take me up on my offer. It would make my life and theirs better and easier.

I used Canva to create my infographic. I’m hoping this provides some insight into my enthusiasm for learning and for working with students and teachers. I've prepared this infographic as a way to initially introduce myself at a new school, perhaps via email before school planning days begin in August. I'll also make sure I post this by the copier or the faculty mailboxes as a reminder that I'm excited to start collaborating!

I know as a school librarian I will have many opportunities to collaborate and engage with diverse groups of people. I enjoy finding solutions to benefit a larger audience while also having the opportunity to express myself creatively.

This assignment gave me the opportunity to play with Powtoon, something I've been wanting to do, and now I'm hooked--I've always been playful in my approach to library work and Powtoon gave me all the tools I needed to indulge myself! The audience for this short video will be new teachers at my school, a way for me to introduce myself until I have a chance to meet them in person; the hope is that the cartoon nature of this video gives prospective collaborators a clear sense of who I am and how it will be fun--hopefully!--to work together. I foresee many explainer Powtoons in my future!

I really enjoyed this assignment! I was always that kid who got the teen magazines so I could take the personality quizzes and I'm definitely the adult that still does them on Buzzfeed (Which Harry Potter character are YOU??). Because of this, I already knew I was an INFJ. Honestly, this description is pretty spot on. To a scary extent, even. I also felt like the outcome of my Hartzell analysis was as well. I love that!

I practice the art of feedback and reflective practice on the regular but I always love learning more about myself. I feel like I've had a lot of assessments tell me that I'm a "doer" lately. While this is for sure an accurate description, I've made an active effort to put more trust in the work of others recently, especially in my ITF and work partner, Heather. It's my first year in this new position and the last thing I want to do is burn myself out.

I love to collaborate with my teachers. I love feedback. It occurred to me over the course of this assignment that I simply don't do enough to get feedback from my teachers. That will change moving forward. They're always positive in their post-project comments, but constructive feedback could really change how my project ideas and implementations develop over time.

The audience for my video are the teachers at my school, specifically my new teachers. I want them to know what exactly it is we do in the Learning Commons besides the traditional bounds of library. I will make this available to all teachers on our staff page and send it out to new teachers as they arrive in the building.

I used Powtoon and really had fun, right up until it told me I had to pay to use the images I had chosen. So I went back and eliminated the pay for things. I really don't look like this, but it was the closest thing I could find. I also noticed that all the free people, and even the design your own, did not allow for fat bodies.
That said, I will likely use this format again now that I know the limitations.

I have done both of these personality assessments before. I find it interesting that from test to test, it doesn't really change much. I am an Introvert and Feeling, but my other two categories are so close to the middle that they go back and forth.

I hope that my collaborators really notice the thing about my lack of poker face. When I get something thrown at me, I look awful; shocked, pissed, hurt, and anger can all appear on my face. But within a few minutes, I usually have a handle on the problem and am well on my way to creating a different solution, usually better than the first.

This video is for my peers and coworkers. I imagine showing it at a beginning of the year staff meeting, or sending it out in a newsletter.

1. Initially, I thought I would push myself to do a quick Powtoon, because I have never used that technology, but then I recognized my tendency to want to try everything first and realized I would NEVER have time. I look forward to exploring these other technologies another time! But I love working with Canva. The sticking point was that I found it hard to “advertise” myself. It’s not that I think I have no skills, but such a public and affirmative statement of the fact was very difficult.

2. I was not terribly surprised about the outcome of the personality tests – INFJ (heavily introverted leaning); Achievement followed by Affiliation for the Hartzell – but I did appreciate the diversity of questions. Inability to trust others to get the job done and a need to please others have been my struggles forever. [Well, that and saying yes to social engagements and then immediately hoping something will intervene to cause a cancellation!]

3. Especially since it was so difficult for me to put some skills down “on paper,” I will try to expand on this exercise in order to be more upfront about what I am bringing to the table when I meet with teachers. I consider this infographic as a good starting point for me to use in pointing out why they would benefit from working with me.

4. I think the infographic itself would be best used with new teachers at my school. I could email it to them individually or get it included in BOY school meetings. Email throughout the year tends to be overwhelming, so it would likely be overlooked there.

5. As noted above, I would likely send it to teachers new to the school or get it added to an all-school program. I could also get it added to our live-document Principal’s Corner document and get it put on our school website. [Scary!]

This was hard. I really got into the personality tests, analyzing who I am and how I appear to others. I actually took the Jung test twice because I didn't like the results the first time... It didn't change a week later. So, I had some mental reflection and read more about how to read the results. I felt better after that, but realize I need to change how I interact with new people. (PS: I think they need to change the words Judging to something else. That was a little scary at first.)
Since taking these tests, I also realized that I need to do better about letting kids try things without my step by step instructions. I believe in modeling, but maybe a little too much.
My intended audience is adults, specifically my staff. Luckily, we don't have a lot of turnover in our building, but I have struggled with collaboration since day one of this job. Everyone seems too busy and just want to drop off their kids for a break or a meeting.

And I feel that this serves me well in my chosen field and in my personal life. I believe it makes me a better partner, teammate, and collaborator. Yes, I do also realize that it can lead to some burnout. And I work hard to keep things in balance.

As you can see in the video, my audience is my middle school community.

This project had me stalled for a while. My "personality type" results shift based on the day, so I chose not to be as explicit with that part. My plans to collaborate with teachers going forward will be mapped out this summer on a programming calendar, so I can better support more teachers across the school. Right now, I'm still building relationships and trying to increase student reading opportunities since our teachers are accustomed to visiting for borrow & return sessions once every two weeks on the same day, and that was just not possible this year with the amount of staff we lost.

My audience is our teaching staff, as well as the new principal that will be hired to begin in April when our principal retires. I, like everyone else, am nervous about the change because we are losing a loved and respected leader. So, this will be a good tool for introductions and a request for patience with our growing program and space.

I created an infographic using Canva to share how I can collaborate with elementary teachers. My goal was to highlight that "I'm here to help" since most of the teachers I've worked with in the past view the media role as a separate entity, not necessarily an open collaborator. I've seen the idea of collaboration outside of the same grade viewed initially as extra work; I tried to communicate that I want to help make the classroom teachers' jobs easier.
This project made me put myself in the shoes of the teachers (and learners) that I'll get to collaborate with, and made me think about how I can use my strengths to work successfully with others. Finding I'm an ESFJ was not much of a surprise, but learning a little more about how I can interact better with other personality types was helpful.
This is a great project to get connected or stay connected with the other teachers at your school, and a reminder for me that I should always look for and create collaboration opportunities with other teachers and learners.

Portrait of a collaborator

In this assignment, I learned a few things about myself. I don’t 100% agree with the quiz but I am a just the facts kind of person as it described me. And I’m an inspector and I’m definitely more of an introvert than an extrovert. The thinking and feeling was only 6% and I believe I am probably more than that percentage. I really enjoy reading a self-help books like this quiz.

Being this is my first year at the school. I have a 3 year plan to collaborate with teachers and get the library to look the way that I envisioned it to be (all while waiting on the school board to decide what they are doing with our super old 1960's building). As a social worker always had Plan A B C and I’m doing that now in our library. I have already collaborated with a few teachers this year. But my long-term goal is to collaborate with every teacher on every subject.

The audience for my Canva video initially will be teachers and I will tweak it a little to add some information in there for students. I think it will be helpful to post it on my Canvas website once I publish that for anyone to be able to see it, and include it on the homepage of Destiny online catalog.

This project gave me the opportunity to do some work with infographics. I do not have that much experience with them so I like to create them whenever I have the chance. This was a difficult project to plan. I found that it was not easy to communicate the ideas that I wanted to include with the infographic. The information that I learned in the Jung Typology Test was not really surprising. I did not agree with everything that was included in my results. The project gave me some things to keep in mind when I collaborate with a teacher. My audience is teachers. The infographic that I created can be sent out to teachers via email or used as a way to introduce myself at a new school.

I used Canva to make an infographic, because I think that format will be most useful for me. Since I'm already attending grade level PLC meetings once a month I wanted to incorporate that into my infographic since that is one road to communication that is already established. I just started attending this week and teachers didn't seem sure what they could ask of me, so I hope this clears that up for them. I am an ISFP, which was not very surprising, although I have taken the test before and was an INFP. I think I learned that I need to keep myself open to collaboration and actively look for opportunities to collaborate, since my natural inclination is to work independently.

I am an INTJ, and I learned that only 2.1% of the population have my personality type?? That seems so strange. However, I do think the strengths and witnesses listed in the tests seem pretty spot on.

I think I will use this video in the biweekly newsletter I have started for my media center this year. I've already used it to shift focus on librarian collaboration rather than just the library as a space for books - I think a video like this will help drive that mission home!

I am a big proponent of personality inventories, so I knew that I was an ENFJ. I think that as a collaborator, it will definitely be an asset that I'm a "helper" and I love to feel useful. I really do love to work with people, and I think that being a team player and a co-teacher will definitely play into my strengths; I work best as part of a team. Prioritizing could become a problem if I'm not careful, and I think setting boundaries will be something that I'll have to work on for sure.

My audience would be teachers, especially teachers who feel overwhelmed/stuck in a rut and want some help planning or finding new ways to teach their content. I want teachers to know I'm here to help them, not to take over or to add more things to their to-do list.
