In "The Lottery" an example of setting is, "The morning of June 27th was clear and sunny, with the fresh warmth of a full-summer day; the flowers were blossoming profusely and the grass was richly green." (Jackson). </p><ol start="2"><li><p> The elements being revealed is location, time period and weather. However the most impactful element is weather. The quote is describing how the weather is and shows where their characters are located and what time of year this is happening.</p></li></ol><p><br/></p><p>   3. The impact of this element is contrast. The nice warm weather is introduced to provide intrigues the reader by showing such a stark difference between the peacefulness and the calmness of their surrounding, in comparison to what occurs within the town.</p>]]></description>
