Hi everyone! 👋 I want to introduce you to Kimchi, the most famous and important side dish in Korea! 🇰🇷

It is usually made of fermented cabbage mixed with spicy red chili flakes, garlic, and ginger. We eat it with almost everything—rice, noodles, Korean BBQ, and sometimes even pizza! 🍜🍕🍖 It might taste a little spicy and sour at first, but it is super healthy and totally addictive.

This is a traditional Korean comfort food made from 'nurungji'—the golden, scorched rice crust left at the bottom of the pot after cooking rice. To make it, you simply add water to the crust and boil it until the rice softens and the water turns into a milky, deeply savory, and nutty broth. It has a very mild and comforting flavor, making it a popular choice for breakfast, a light meal when someone is feeling under the weather, or a digestive aid at the end of a heavy meal. It pairs perfectly with salty or spicy side dishes like kimchi and pickled vegetables.
