         <description><![CDATA[<p>Pre party considerations:</p><ul><li><p>Make an invite list</p></li><li><p>No weapons in the house</p></li><li><p>Nothing valuable </p></li><li><p>Enough food and drinks</p></li><li><p>Guests leaving bags in the front room with out access to prevent the use of drugs</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Drug experience </strong></p></li><li><p>To prevent being drugged don't accept drink from people you don't know and try to get canned drinks to decrease the risk of them being spiked</p></li><li><p>If you are doing drugs it is important to know what kind, the risk / consequences along with not taking to many which could cause death</p></li><li><p>Surround yourself with people who you trust will look after you if something goes wrong</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Drug use consequences</strong></p></li><li><p>Their are many consequences of doing drugs from getting caught and charged by the police to overdosing and dyeing</p></li><li><p>Drugs can make you make bad decisions which will have detrimental consequences, that can ruin your future</p></li></ul><p><strong>Safer party planning:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Pool safety (close at a certain time)</p></li><li><p>Have trusted adults (parent / sibling)</p></li><li><p>No plus ones</p></li><li><p>Make sure everybody has a ride home</p></li><li><p>No bags (as they could carry drugs of weapons)</p></li><li><p>Security with a guest list (so that no one unwanted can crash your party)</p></li><li><p>No alcohol or drugs</p></li><li><p>No bedrooms or closing doors.</p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>These things are important to remember as they keep everyone at the party safe from various possible issues, from rape and death to  overdosing and to much alcohol intake all of which can greatly impact the people experiencing them. they can also have great consequences that could have sever negative impacts on your future / job prospects.</p><p><br/></p><p>The key information from this topic is to be cautious about who you invite and to have clear rules / safety measures in place it is also vital that there is a trusted adult present who can help is things go wrong</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Energiser: STI Card Game:</strong></p><p>This game helped highlight how quickly STI's can be caught and spread and emphisised to class the importantce of getting tested regularly. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Brainstorm:</strong></p><p>•What are STIs?</p><p>Sexually Transmitted Infections, are infections passed from one person to another through sexual contact</p><p>•Can you name any?</p><p>HIV, crabs, chlamydia, herpes</p><p>•What causes them?</p><p>Bacteria and viruses transmitted through sexual contact</p><p>•How are they transmitted?</p><p>Skin to skin contact or when bodiliy fluids are transferred.</p><p>•How common are they?</p><p>Dependson which but generally extremly common</p><p>•How are they treated?</p><p>some have cuers  all have treatments</p><p>•Can they be cured?</p><p>some can but afew cant such as HIV</p><p>•Can same-gender couples transmit STIs?</p><p>Yes as they transmitted by skin to skin contact or when bodiliy fluids are transferred.</p><p>•What would the responsibility of a person with an STI be to their sexual partner/s?</p><p>Tell them as soon as they find out they have one</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Discussion:</strong></p><p>•How common is herpes?</p><p>Common</p><p>•Is it safe to engage in sexual activity if someone has herpes or other STIs?</p><p>Can risk transmitting to sexual partners even when the symptoms are not visible.</p><p>•Can herpes be treated? Can it be cured?</p><p>Herpes is treatable but not curable</p><p>•What is the only way someone can confirm if they have an STI?</p><p>Getting tested</p><p>•Why is it important to get tested for STIs?</p><p>So you can get treated as soon as possible and to make sure you dont spread it. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Main learning:</strong></p><ul><li><p>This lesson we focussed on sti's and the impact / responisility if you get one.</p></li><li><p>My main learing was to get tested rugularly if sexually active and to use protection as it decreases the chances of getting and sti</p></li><li><p>We also learnt the differant types of STI and which one have treatments and which are permenent.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Why is it important to know?</strong></p><ul><li><p>It is important for young people to understand STI's so that if they get one they know what to do but also they know how to prevent getting them in the first place and that it is important to get tested</p><p><br></p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <title>Pregnancy options</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>There are 3 choices if you become pregnant</p><p>1) parenting</p><p>2) adoption</p><p>3) abortion</p><p>all 3 are good options and you should take and to decide whihc is best for you</p><p><strong><em>Pregnancy Choices:</em></strong></p><p><strong>When would you have sex without a condom?</strong></p><p>When trying to get pregnant or using an alternative method of contraception to prevent pregnancy, when in a committed relationship where no one is sleeping with others (as it is more likely to catch and STI if sleeping with multiple people) and everyone has consented to not using a condom. If haveing sex without condoms is something that aligns with both partners values and they both consent to it.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Main learning:</strong></p><ul><li><p>My main learning this lesson was that if you get into a situation where you are pregnant there are many ways to deal with it and all of these methods and 100% ok. </p></li><li><p>It is the female who has the final say on if she keeps the baby as it is her who is most affected.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Why is it important?</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong> </strong>it is important for young people to understand the options in case they need to make a desicion about pregnancy so that they have the full picture and can make an educated choice that will benefit them most. </p></li><li><p>It is also important for young people to understand the importance of using protection. </p></li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>]]></description>
