Website key as front of house...must look the part to external partners and funders. Clear vision/purpose for the NuCORE. This coul also help with networking internally.

Perception that hard silos are false narratives as we speak to a good number of people anyhow but linking in with the clinic is a key need. Emphasis on talk vs action when hosting events with a need to engage clinicians on their terms.

Need for a broad and accessible network to matchmake nimbly as opportunities present.

Scope should cover projects to programmes.

Key need to link investigators across campuses and matchmaking will open doors.

Need to ensure PPI/E engagement early on, how might the NUCORE facilitate this?

-Come together and learn from each other's experience. Sage feels a little separate from other faculties (FMS, HASS). Contacts are often developed on a personal level rather than institutional.

- Create spaced to bring people together. Regular, informal networking/presentation events can promote interaction and lead to collaborative research (Frequency 2-3 month?). Real world problems don't usually fit neatly into our engineering groups, so focus must be given to bring together people from various backgrounds.

- How can we ensure the same level of cooperation from all faculties? Do we all understand the same by "inter-disciplinarity"?
- Networking should get us to a point where we all understand the same language.

How to take things forward?
- Internal funding schemes to promote interaction to develop specific projects that could lead to a funding application.

- Can MRes courses be a platform for collaboration? Students have various backgrounds (Medicine, Engineering, etc).

- PPI (Public and Patiente Involvement). Helping people putting proposal together to be aware of PPI.
