I love the thought of remixing music. I think its amazing to take one song and mix it with another song or implementing another genre into a song. Sometimes the remix is better than the original song. In the rap game, remixes are more popular with other rappers throwing their lyrics onto the same beat and making mixtapes. Not only does do remixes make songs better, but it promotes the Dj's and their music. My favorite remix is Love Sosa by Rl Grime. I thought RL grime made this song way better and increase popularity for Chief Keef.

One of the most famous Dj's , Rl grime, I think changed the game. I think Rl grime has promoted rap into the EDM world. He has made a lot of remixes to rap music. I think he made people that were only comfortable with EDM music to start listening to rap. He also done the same thing with people that only listened to rap. For example, myself. I only used to listen to rap but ever since I heard RL Grimes remix, also witnessing him live, I started becoming more attracted to EDM music. I also think that Steve Aoki and DJ carnage have done a great job of remxing rap music.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8K4-BbqAaY

This song, Danza Kaduro, is a spanish song. A few years ago Akon hopped onto the song. In my opinion I think Akon made this song a lot better and more catchy. Its mixed of Akons style and spanish style. This not only makes Akon more known in the spanish industry, but also promotes more of spanish music in the rap industry. Both of the music styles combined made a better song and forced Akon to go out of the box to make better music. Everyone that listens to Akon knows what he can do but dont know what else he could do.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pROPMG471GQ

Snoop Dogg recently just released a rastafarian album. Snoop doggs thinking was that he needed to spread his message through a different genre. His whole life he has been spreading his message through a more violent and hard way. His thinking was that he doesent live that life anymore, so he should spread his message in a more peaceful way. Again, this bring more promotion of reggae music into the rap industry and now people who listen to rastafarian music would be more open minded to rap music.
