This is your instructor, Tanisha! I'm originally from El Paso, Texas, and I have been in Virginia for about 19 years now. I currently live in Virginia Beach, but I'd like to think I'm a Norfolk girl at heart ;) My favorite hobby is probably interior designing and decorating. I love picking out colors, fabrics, and making houses pretty! If I had known it was a college major, aside from maybe communication, I would have pursued design. Speaking of college majors, I graduated from ODU in 2003 with a bachelors degree in psychology and a minor in criminal justice. I then went on to pursue and graduate with my masters degree in Educational Leadership in 2012. I'm currently debating on starting a PhD program or pursuing a second masters degree in humanities. I've been working at ODU for a total of 10 years off and on, and I taught 7th grade English for four years.  In my free time, I love to travel, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy every moment of life. I am looking forward to spending this semester with all of you and facilitating your journey into becoming awesome young professionals. Freshman year is all about discovery and enjoying your time here at ODU, so make the most of it, work hard, and have fun!
