She is very straight forwards, and even if her family isn't her blood, she still cares for them as if they were.     This poem relates to her a lot because it shows the overall struggles of a mother. Ruth, for example would make a great example of that. She does most of the work in the house and throughout most of the play, she's ironing clothes or getting food. Even when having a caring, but offly selfish husband, she still manages to go through her irritation and sometimes confronts him, telling him with reality of certain situations they're in. After realising they are moving, I feel like this what she would think in her heart, knowing she can have her baby now. She has struggled a lot in live, even from her one husband and I feel like all she really has now with her is the child inside of her. Feeling the baby's heartbeat, it's movements, and it's presence overall must have a huge impact on her well being.     This quote shows just how impatient and uncomfortable they were in their living conditions. 
    After mom got hold of her fortune due to her husband death, they managed to buy a pretty good house. Ruth can look back and not get the abortion after all with the new house as there was conflict before for her meeting with the doctor. There are multiple themes in this play, but I personally think this one stands out the most.
