Baptism is a religious rite where somebody immerses an infant into water, and during this, an infant is given a name. It happens a few days after birth and adults can also be baptized. Godparents have to be there and they have to agree to be responsible for the infants religious upbringing. An interesting fact about baptism is that Baptism is a symbol of our new life.

In Christian marriage a man and woman dedicate themselves to one another for life. "This is the sacrament of Holy Matrimony", and is usually taken place in a church. The bride is escorted down the isle with her parents and is entrusted with the groom. They exchange vows and rings, kiss, and then have a wedding party. An interesting fact about Christian marriage is that Jesus said that neither husband nor wife should separate from each other.

In Christianity, death is a passage to life eternal. For Catholics, at the moment of death, people will be judged upon how the led their life. You go to heaven if you repented your sins and lived justly, and if your unrepentant and sinful you go to hell. However, there are some in between, and they wait in purgatory. A sacrament, called Anointing of the Sick, is given to gravely ill people. Christian funerals vary around the world. Sometimes, the body is revealed before burial, and in some countries, "a wake, or period of mourning and prayer, precedes the funeral." An interesting fact about Christian death is that death involves a separation of the spirit from the body.
