In this Ted Talk, the speaker is talking about this idea of Mental Jenga. Basically, he is discussing how it is important to question fundamental assumptions made at an earlier time. If we spend our entire life going off of old information that is known as "correct", there will never be improvements in society. We need to push the limits, and always be trying to take things innovation further. - Shaddy

Will

The speaker talks about how his education peaked at his years of college due to years upon years of building learning skills he goes on to say every year after college he feels that his learning skills "jenga tower" was weakening. while all this talks about how he feels down deep it is all about metacognition. If you think about it during all those years you learn how you study for tests which is thinking about thinking how to study which is a form of metacognition. While this is one examples there are so many others he hints at. So no matter what age you are metacognition is their whether you like it or not.
