This quote puts into words OASIS’ most appealing and revolutionary purpose other than advanced gaming. The privilege of absolute anonymity along with the ability to be anything you want to in the OASIS changes everything about life in the OASIS and in reality. For instance, two avatars in the OASIS could be friends and have a lot in common, but in reality they may be two completely different people with very little in common who live on opposite sides of the globe. The Sixers have formed not one but TWO force fields around the Tomb of Horrors making it impossible for any other gunter to have a chance at winning the Copper Key. Not only is this incredibly unfair but most importantly it is not what Halliday would have wanted. Everything about IOI Corporations and what they are doing goes against the morals and values that Halliday built the contest on and in how he created OASIS itself. I myself have experienced the unjust and cruel methods that IOI Corporations is using to try to win first hand! They are cheating by rigging the system to be able to control one avatar with unlimited employees. Each Sixer receives the help of several experts and Halliday scholars who switch out with each challenge that is presented to them. I know how angry you must be but this is not even the worst of it all... After I placed at the top of the Scoreboard, IOI Corporations offered me a job or money to give them information directing them to the First Gate, to which I of course declined. But when I declined, they attempted to kill me by blowing up my home on Earth! Luckily I was not home at the time, however this still serves to show that IOI Corporations is willing to kill to win the contest. We must not let the Sixers succeed in getting any farther in the hunt, let alone the fact that they are preventing any other gunter from participating in the hunt. I know it will be hard because the planet Ludus is a no PvP zone but somehow we must formulate a way to drive the Sixers out from Ludus or at least take down their force fields. I encourage you to do everything you can to resist the power of IOI and take them down in any possible way you can. To protect the rights of all gunters, I am calling you and all of the independent gunter clans to unite and form an army with the sole purpose of taking down the Sixers, and IOI Corporations’ place in OASIS. Remember if IOI wins, the OASIS will never be the same place again, so the very future of the OASIS itself depends on you.

In the OASIS I am Parzival, the first gunter in history to make it on the Scoreboard by finding the Copper Key. Kind of a big deal... but anyways, for the few hours a day I’m not logged onto the OASIS, I’m sleeping, eating or working out in my apartment in Columbus. I haven’t been outside or interacted with a real human in over 6 months , so yea I’m kinda lonely. After my ex girlfriend broke my heart and blocked me, AND I lost my best friend, I could really use someone to talk to. This artifact can work against all types of magic in the OASIS in a types of zones, regardless if magic is permitted or not. Once the owner chooses to activate the Magic Disruptor, it will disable all magic in up to a mile radius of the owner. This can become especially helpful when in combat with an opponent using magical weapons or when fighting a wizard. In Parzival’s case, it would serve to be incredibly helpful in taking down the force field the Sixers have placed around Castle Anorak that is held up by an extremely powerful magic force. I tried to make my avatar look as much like me as possible, however there are some aspects about her that were smoothed over to make her look a little better than I do in real life. Her hair looks healthier than mine, she has clearer skin and nicer teeth, which are all little things I sometimes don’t like about myself in real life. Alex wears a black sweater because I feel like it mostly resembles my style—simple, boring and comfy.
