The reason why it is my favourite out of all the devices that i have is because it is very convenient. I can carry it with me to every places I go to and it provide access to many things that I need in my daily life such as my class timetable, conversations with friends and families, photos, entertainments, and many more things. Although there are security problems online when using different social media platforms, I think that it is very helpful when used with cautions. For example, my smartphone makes me feel safe. 
I can contact my family or friends for help when needed and I can also use it to navigate where I am if I get lost. Now that I’m in a different country and I’m still adapting to it, my smartphone helps me connect with the people back at home and find my way to places I have to be. Moreover, it is very easy to use. I didn’t spend as much time trying to get used to my smartphone as I did trying to familiarise myself with computers. It became a very important thing in my life now when I’m so used to having it in my bag or purse or holding it in my hand all the time. It might sound quite unhealthy to many people but from my own personal experience, ever since I started using one, I’ve never let it affect my social life or interactions with others in real life. I dare say sometimes bad. This might be due to how I always get so nervous and restless when a presentation is assigned. I try to do my best to prepare so things will go smoothly on the day of the presentation but sometimes things just don’t go as you planned. I get this tummy churning nerves before presenting and it affects my performance a lot. I either speak super fast or start presenting off script. I think some good ways to help me overcome these things are more practicing and more positive thinking. I really shouldn’t worry about how I am going to embarrass myself, instead I should just be like “oh, let’s just do our best. Think of this as a normal conversation you are having. No one is judging, no one is laughing at you.” Hopefully I get more used to presenting.

This is a music video from my favourite K-Pop boy group. The visuals are so eye-catching and at the same time, it tells a story. Not to mention the camera angles and effects they used when filming is brilliant. I can learn to use the same technique they did for some scenes which is slow motion. Visual literacy is one of them. I have learnt how to find infographics and link them to my academic works such as presentations and filming projects. Before digital literacy, I didn’t really pay much attention to the visuals of my work but now I’ve discovered more ways to make them look visually pleasing. Another skill that I deem important is working in groups. This is the only subject that made me feel like I’m really improving my socialising skill, especially in group works. I got to work with some of my classmates and they are amazing. We worked on a presentation together for our digital literacies class and it was a wonderful experience. I am still not fond of presenting but they made it enjoyable. I have learnt how to communicate ideas, take parts and monitor things as a group and I think thats very important as I will be using this skill more and more when I go to university. The reason why it is so important might be because having other people to help you out with a video makes it less flawed. With more than one pair of eyes, the video can be watched in  different views. Therefore, the team can help each other improve the video to satisfy all the criteria. Not only that the produced work can be much better than working alone, I also think having a team to work with on a video project can be much more fun. For my video project, I mostly worked alone during the process of filming the main parts and editing. However, there has been help from my cousin. She accompanied me to grab all the things I needed for the video and also helped me film the first part of the video as I had to be in some of the clips. She was a great help for my video. While I generally do believe that teamwork in general is essential in many situations, for example this video project that we are submitting by the end of this week, working solo sometimes work out just fine also. Collaborative work can be viewed as an amazing experience if everyone is collaborating and having fun.
