         <description><![CDATA[<div>What would work for our student population:&nbsp;<br>-Using their phones (GoogleVoice)<br><br><br>How we would modify the lesson to meet the needs of our students:<br>1.)&nbsp; Show pictures of people and have students critique the person and make improvements on the person appropriate for an interview.&nbsp; They could choose the person to make over, choose to use a rubric as if they were an interviewer, pretend they were an employer who had to address the employee's inappropriate attire, etc..&nbsp;<br>2.) Assign students different workplaces (automotive,&nbsp;veterinary office, etc.) and students come up with expectations for dress and behavior. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

Appropriate Attire Lesson:

As a Practice Activity, gather old magazines from library and have students make collages of appropriate and inappropriate attire for the workplace to share with the class. 

Cell Phone Etiquette Activity:

Explain that using a cell phone during work hours for personal use is the same as "stealing" from the company and it costs the company money. This is known as the Cost of Lost Production.   The formula for this is:
(Hourly Rate*2)(minutes/60)(days worked)
($9.00 x 2)(30/60)(250)=$2250/year

Reflective Exit Pass:  This makes the student think about if they owned the business and how much money would be lost if their employees were wasting time.  Makes for good discussion......
