After the midpoint critique, I decided to lighten the sky in order to emphasize the orange tones of the piece, add starker lines in the trees, create more textures in the trees and background, darken the clothes of the subject, and add a haze/speckled shine in addition to the main light.

From the midpoint, I decided to choose dimmer colours for my background and changed the composition of the piece to emphasise the subjects more. Please feel free to provide any additional feedback!!

In this piece I wanted to explore the harsh reality of kids having to sell on the streets during morning time in order to survive.

And I included two versions of the cake shot because I couldn't decide which one I liked more. (bottom 2)

One thing I want to add is more variety to the compositions, so I'll keep taking photos. I'd love to know if there's any way I could make the theme clearer!

I would like feedback about what other angle to add, I was thinking photos of the kids swimming. Also I am not sure on whether I should replace the bottom left photo, it is a bit in-cohesive with the others, but I like that it adds another a new perspective into my photo essay of the objects that give me nostalgia.

I also took some pictures of the food being made and the materials involved in making it. I took the advice of editing to give it a more warm and familiar feeling.

For the beads, I followed the midpoint design and mixed orange and red paint to get that warm shine. I also layered a bit of red nail polish on top before finishing it with a glaze.

1. The sketch attached above - Growing up, my family grew fruit trees (peaches, jujubes, persimmon, tomatoes) in our backyard every summer. For the project, it would show my family holding comically huge fruits.

2. One of the sketches I did before the fruit one was about winter and how the gloomy weather affects mood. I'm not too sure what I'd draw for this concept, but I do need a winter-themed piece.

I'd like advice on composition for the first idea and also on what to do. I'm just really lost for this project.

what I have right now is just a scene of a wedding I wanted to paint The left dress is a "regular" dress while the right is supposed to be a traditional dress, my mom was telling me about the story of her getting married and how her family were basically "handing her off" to her husband so I wanted to paint it from a family member/my moms perspective of being uncertain of marriage and what's to come from it, the bride is glancing back to her family with an expression that says "what do I do now?" Later tonight I'll add in the progress I made yesterday and the changes I did... Any feedback is welcome Pleasee 🙏🧑‍🦲

So far, I have the base of the jellyfish head along with the beaded chicken wire. I still have to boil wooden sticks to bend and create the dome shape of the head. I also have paper and cardstock to weave into the wood and wrap around some of the exposed wiring.

As of now, I would like suggestions on the tentacles and oral arms of the jellyfish. For the oral arms, my two options are using the glass beads I already have (stringing them onto wire), or purchasing shells to layer (stringing them onto twine). For the tentacles, I'm planning on using sheets paper with wire in between to give them more structure.

The shape of the jellyfish is inspired by the Atlantic Sea Nettle, a seasonal jellyfish that return closer to shore during the summer months.

The 2nd painting is basically my grandad getting crowned as the "odogwu" (a leader) and its not done yet but I wanted to put rays of sunshine coming through the top right to show enlightenment.... You cant see my lady to the right I took this under yellow lighting it looks sm better in florescent....
