Social media altered how people engaged with one another. A significant portion of entities became dependent on the internet. Some people were so engrossed in using social media that they lost track of their surroundings. Some people have become more socially isolated online than in the real world. Some people had lost some of their social skills and were incapable to have a normal conversation. With such a wide range of effects, it is evident that social media undermines the development of genuine relationships and alters the nature of interpersonal interaction. Due to the advancement of technology, social media has evolved as well. The number and type of platforms have grown significantly as time passes. More and more options for posting and advertising have expanded. Social media has significantly altered some aspects of my life, especially how I interact with others. There are times that I was involved in a world that was full of virtual social interaction. The misuse of social media has a negative impact which personally makes me unsocial. Constant texting, typing, and checking for updates online, these factors contributed to my anti-social phase. Overuse of modern technology, and social media, made us a bit unsocial. We often choose to spend our time/day dealing with people online, shopping, watching online and many more rather than going out and doing things literally. Social media may keep us from socializing with others as it controls and eat our time. Social media enables kids to communicate with one another and to document and share what they are doing in real-time. With regard to the use of social media within the household, parents are concerned and alarmed about it. They may have violent reactions to how we, teens/children, use social media at an alarming rate of time of usage. Here are some of the most reminders of parents for their children:
•  Parents remind us to learn about the programs and apps that we are using. To use any applications with care and supervision. 
• Parents remind us to acknowledge what’s okay and safe to post online, and what isn’t because it may affect our safety and privacy.
• Parents remind us that not all we see online is true, legit, accurate and/or genuine. Because all things can be manipulated in social media.
• And also, parents let us do what we want to do online but we must know the limits. Additionally, prioritize what must be done (tasks needed to complete through the use of the internet).
Moreover, because of the ongoing misleading facts, information, and news on social media, parents are becoming strict when it comes to it. They established restrictions at home when it comes to online communication to prevent their kids from overusing social media. Some of these restrictions are:
• Use social media in accordance with the necessities. 
• Follow the time limit that the parents made to lessen the exposure to social media.
• Only post sensible and acceptable stuff.
• Restricting us from using social media whenever there are family gatherings, occasions, and/or events that require our full attention. Its main focus was the changes in the dynamics of human interaction.
This talk is a plea for us to cease being hooked on our devices, social media accounts, etc. and socialise in the right way. We must not waste our time pointlessly scrolling through any social media platforms, hence, find purpose. Like establishing a circle of friends who have a good and harmonious vision for everyone, finding like-minded people, creating businesses and starting careers, etc. 
Moreover, Allison Graham, the speaker of this talk, pointed out how social media deteriorated our ability in socializing with other people in the real world. Furthermore, we must not always depend on the capabilities of social media and we must make sure that our skills in socializing with people in the real world will not change negatively.
On the other hand, one trend embarks after another. Every trend is just a trend, it does not imply that every one of us is obligated to follow and obey. We must know what and when to join a trend. Not all trends are good for us because every trend has its outstanding consequences. And also, social media is a poisonous medium that poisons people's thinking. That has been affecting the way how people should behave, interact, and socialize.
