         <description><![CDATA[<p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; One resource is a sample artist book. Its purpose is to illustrate as an introduction to the concept of friendship through the lens of art. Its combination of visual art and simple emotional texts used to spark children’s ideas about a variety of artistic styles that children can incorporate. After showing the book, children can get the ideas and begin the discussion to design their artwork.</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Second resource is emotional vocabulary cards. Its purpose is to build children’s emotional literacy to identify their feelings. It is used to encourage students to think on their positive experience with their friends. After selecting a card, the children can create a visual representation based on their feelings chosen.</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Third material is a set of coloured pencils. The purpose of this tool is to promote visual self-expression through colours which can symbolise different feelings or friendship dynamics. This tool is used to help children with limited writing skills to express their creativity and engaged in non-verbal ways. To design an artist book, children will use coloured pencils to decorate pages to personalise their book.</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Fourth material is apron. During arts class, the purpose of children wearing apron is to create a safe and prepared learning environment to control messy art tasks in which the children can develop a sense of responsibility and care for shared resources. It is used to support children’s confident and unrestricted in their creative expression. Thus, students will develop a studio routine before engaging in painting activities that can manage classroom behaviour and cleanliness.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>]]></description>

Puppetry play can promote children’s emotional expression, communication and social engagement in a safe and imaginative way. It is used to allow children to give a voice without pressure to express how they feel and think indirectly. During a dramatic lesson, children can use puppets to act out different scenarios within friendship themes and learn to create a paper puppet.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Second resource is a YouTube video ‘Figure Family Puppet Song’. Its purpose is to show children how to use puppets in dialogue and introduces vocabulary and emotional expression through song and character. This video is used to assist children in making abstract social-emotional concepts. After viewing the introductory video, children will discuss the taints shown by the characters, which can be used to transform their characters.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Third material is camera/iPad. The purpose of this tool is to encourage digital storytelling, reflection to document students’ learning and development, how they express themselves through performance and to share children’s learning with their families. It is used to record puppetry performance and allow children to see themselves as storytellers. In a learning episode of using hand puppets, children will be able to capture their puppetry play using tablets and create a stop motion video.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Fourth material is sheets of plain paper with pencils. Its purpose is to promote hands-on learning by physically construct ideas, characters, narrative elements, and settings to support storytelling. These materials are affordable and accessible for children to plot their scenes and make the learning experience more meaningful and imaginative. During a puppetry play, children will be able to use paper to create their own puppets.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>]]></description>
