The day my second sister was born I felt very happy and excited because I had the chance to see her newborn, unlike my first sister. I was 16 years old, at that time we were in a difficult economic situation but she came to brighten our lives.

When I was five years old I had an accident on a motorized skateboard, I opened half my face, that week I had many performances with the band, musical groups and educational events, I couldn't participate in any of them and I felt very sad.

My first trip to the beach

The day I discovered the beach I was around three years old. It was in Caracas, Venezuela. My parents and sister lived there, we traveled for a full day, I felt very excited and wanted to meet her. So much that I have not forgotten that moment. That day was very happy for me, the sand on my feet and enjoying the water was wonderful.

The saddest day

In 2017 our country began to be very affected economically and my father had to leave before without us, we were without him for more than a year, in 2018 my mother made the decision to leave because things were not improving, I was left a few months to finish high school, but I didn't want to stay. We arrived in Sonsón, a town in Antioquia, the first days I felt a lot of fear, trepidation, anguish at being in a new place and with nothing.

The day I discovered music

When I turned six years old, I entered first grade in a rural school near the town where I lived. Among the areas of study I saw music, it was my favorite class. One day the teacher was forming a choir and did the test to choose them, when singing he saw something in me, it was the moment I knew that this was my talent, I was very happy being in the choir, I was passionate about singing and representing the school in many events, I was really happy in those times.

A heartbreaking moment

I met Mariana Ramírez when I was in sixth grade, she became a very important person in my life, from that year on she planned her 15th birthday party, she dreamed of that moment and she spread her joy to us. She arrived on August 22, 2017, when she turned 15, and I couldn't attend her party because she lived in a somewhat dangerous place and my parents wouldn't let me. It was something that caused me helplessness and anger. On Sunday, August 23, 2017, we found out that my friend had been run over, right at her birthday party and that marked my life forever.

Having left music

I learned to play instruments from the age of 7, when I turned 16 I gave up, I couldn't bring the instruments with me. When I arrived in Sonsón, I joined some music groups, but when I started studying and working I had to leave them, that was something that made me sad because I left something that I love with my soul. That allowed me to value things more, I hope to be able to do so again later.

A moment to reflect

When I was in primary and secondary school, my classmates bullied me, made me feel very bad with their comments about my physical appearance and mentioned classmates who were prettier than me. After I turned 16 I began to change my appearance a little and they began to approach me, but again I gained weight and assumed bad habits to lose it quickly, causing an eating disorder that caused severe irritation in their throat and gastritis, that made me land and not take life as a game.

My graduation

On February 3, 2023 was my graduation and I received the title of Higher Normalist, one that with the effort and dedication of my family and myself I was able to obtain. It was one of the greatest achievements I have had in life and of which I feel very proud, because I was able to achieve it in another country. It was a day in which I felt very happy and lucky.

Autism in our lives

In the year 2023, the medical process began to identify what was due to the lack of sleep and some strange behaviors in my little sister Mya. The first diagnosis was made and we were told of possible autism. After several checkups and exams, we were told that Mya only had a sleep disorder and needed to be medicated. After a few appointments with neuropsychologists to identify autism, only one of them did the correct evaluation and was able to detect it, since Mya was very big and hid it more. It was a year that impacted us a lot, it caused us fear, sadness, anguish, helplessness, but we had to resign ourselves and accept it, we could not be selfish and we had to think about our little girl. She was the best gift that life could give us.
