I am christian so it is barely the same... Their is only one god, and the creation story is different.
Genesis, 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. For those who don't know, that was the very first verse of the bible. The bible is the book that teaches us the word, and by word I mean gods word. I don't know everything and some thing still confuse me but that is why I go to Church.
Any way back to the question, The verse Genesis 1:1 is the beginning of our creation story. In ours the only person in control is god but in yours there are multiple. There is not much of a Satan in theirs because their is just good and evil, but in ours Satan is everything bad.

Yeah, like Liam, I am also Christian, so it is kind of easy and kind of hard to compare my Christian religion or other religions to Mythology. Some examples of how they compare is that they both include different Gods, and all that other stuff. Another example is (this might be horrible and/or make no entire sense): they are both religions. I really don't have any more examples, so that will be it. Those were just some examples/reasons (same thing for this) about how Mythology compares to my religion and/or other religions I know about.

My padlet answer was finished at 6:44 p.m. on March 3, 2019.

(By the way, sorry about this picture, I searched up "mythology" and this was the only picture I liked that I got).

Mythology compare to Christianity because the Greeks worshipped the gods like Zeus, Hades, Athena, and etc.. This compares to Christianity because we have a choice to let God into our lives and we worship him by singing, praying, going to church, following the ten commandments, and so many more. God is so much greater than all of the olympic gods because he can do miracles, change people’s lives, how he sent his only son to die on the cross for our sins, and so many more. Christians do not do rituals like animal sacrifice and libation, like killing animals and spreading seeds on their heads while they die is symbolic of “life and regeneration”. An almost identical theme in Christianity is when Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, then he rose from the dead.

Greek Mythology and Christianity are different in many different ways. Unlike Greek Mythology, my religion worships only one god. Like a few people said, in Greek Mythology there are multiple; such as Zeus, Hera, Hades, Athena etc. Christianity is basicaly based on the birth, life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The beleifs have to do with what was written in the Bible, while the beliefs in Greek Mythology were based on what the Greeks thought. But overall, Greek Mythology and Christianity are very different.

Greek Mythology and my religion are different in a lot of ways. I am Christian, we believe in only one god. The Greeks believed in many gods. Only one god created the world in my religion. The Greeks had different gods for everything that was created. The Greeks sacrifice and do rituals like killings. My religion dose not do that. In my religion we follow the bible not story's and legions.

Mythology is not like my religion because it has many gods. Christianity is different because we have one God, and he is the only true God. Mythology has so many evil monsters and gods it's ridiculous. I know Christianity is hard to believe sometimes just because it inquires a LOT of faith, but it is totally worth it to be with God in heaven forever someday. Like a lot of other people in this class I see a huge difference. God is so much more, and so much better because he is the only one. Satan and his demons are the only things TRYING to hold us back.

Greek Mythology is not the same at all because like Liam, JJ, and Delaney, I am a Christian. As a Christian, I only worship the one true God, and the world creation story is different. Unlike Greek mythology, we have all our knowledge of the universe and the Lord from the Bible. The Bible teaches us that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth. In the Bible, the creation story is really long, so I'm just going to sum it up for you:

Day 1: God made day and night.
Day 2: God created the sky.
Day 3: God created land and sea.
Day 4: God made the sun, moon, and stars.
Day 5: God made sea animals and birds.
Day 6: God created animals and people.
Day 7: God rested and made Sunday a holy day so people could admire his work and worship him.

Greek mythology is very different to my religion because instead of many gods, there is only one god in my religion and he can do anything. Also in my creation, the world is made in seven days. Also, no sacrifices are made to my god, but back in the olden days, they did but to remember their sins and to repent, not to please the gods. We don't do this anymore because Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice so we can all go to heaven together those who want to go.

Greek mythology is similar to modern religion in the fact that it tells a story of creation and provides an explanation for everything. They also worship the 'creator.' However, most religions nowdays worship one god and read a bible. I'm not religious, unlike everyone else in this class which I guess, for me, gives me a new bias on the subject. I think that there are a lot of similarities but also a lot of differences.
