It has gained an international fame for its breathtaking beauty, innovative composition, and technical virtuosity.<br>It depicts a dramatic scene wherein Apollo is alongside Daphne wherein she grows a bark creeping over her legs and leaves and branches that are sprouting out of her fingers. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[It is highly evident here that she is in the process of becoming a tree. The beauty of this sculpture is through its cinematic optical effect as if we were viewing the actual metamorphosis that was taking place before our eyes.  The way the stone showed it’s “moving” however it is still. The effect of how the process took place shows the elements of texture and naturalism to be recognizable through the naked eye, therefore we consider this beautiful.]]></description>
