It was held during common hours only on one day.  Lunch was served, and we had two or three presentations by several students.  It was really more of a “presentation”, as opposed to an “event”. In addition, faculty opened their classrooms to the campus community during the presentation of final projects. “Open classrooms” appeared on the Connected Learning Symposium schedule throughout the week. 

In addition to organizing the symposium, CLO’s were responsible for distributing professional development funds to faculty who were proposing ways to implement “connected learning” projects into their classes.  The mini-grants were funds intended to encourage the infusion of connected learning approaches to every course on campus, and approach used in the early days of the official “connected learning” philosophy at Lasell College.

Faculty – please join me in thanking Sidney Trantham, Cris Haverty, and Jeff Corcoran for their excellent work over these past two years as our Davis Foundation supported Faculty Connected Learning Organizers. They have been central to the organization of the Symposium, the awarding of faculty development grants to faculty, and other activities important to our expansion and improvement of connected learning at the College. I look forward to working with Nancy Waldron, Neil Hatem, and Brian Wardyga as this coming year’s CL organizers.
