Pros:

1)They are mostly tuned well

2)I don't hear any obvious wrong notes or squeaks

3) the percussion is maintaining a constant speed and not getting faster or slower

Cons:

1) I feel like the percussion is too loud in the beginning as I had a harder time hearing the notes

2)I think the trombones had wrong notes/tuning at their solo part

3) the instruments respective notes were harder to hear

School 2

Pros:

1) I like how they had good tone and every note is distinct

2)I really like how they end every bar and part with the perfect volume. For example,the volume they ended bar 18 with was the volume they started with for bar 19

3)they are able to recover from mistakes quickly

4) most of the dynamics are observed like the slurs, crescendos etc.

5) I like how they used tenutos to emphasize certain notes

6) the percussion kept a constant tempo,making sure that they don't follow the band but instead made the band follow them. This is important as it can help the players recover their parts easily and without much confusion

Cons:

1) I feel like the saxophones at bar 7-8 are too loud as due to them being too loud,the entry of the whole band at bar 11 is not as grand and dramatic as it is supposed to be

2)I think on the trombone part,the sound was louder for a split second for ever note when it shld be the same volume throughout the note

3) the saxophones came in too early on bar 28 which could have messed up the tempo for the other instruments and percussion

1: they produced clear sounds smoothly for some parts as there was some parts where some or one of the instruments blasted.

2: they maintained their tempo.

3: they sounded a bit messy at part C but managed to continue and kept up with the tempo and their quality of their sounds.

School 2:

1: they produced good quality and clear sounds most of the part better than school 1

2: they played part C better than school 1

3: they can change from soft to loud and loud to soft smoothly.

4: they maintained their tempo.

Overall, I like school 2 better.

At the start, the drums are messy. In the middle they were a bit too loud

They are loud which does not suit the piece, need to work on dynamic more

The clarinets/saxophones at section D the rhythm was uneven

Somewhere between section F to start of H it was very grand which I liked

School 2:

Trumpets are a bit loud at the start and not blending in with the others

They are not blend in very well at the start

Volume in the middle is just nice, not too loud/soft

The tempo is a bit uneven at the start of section C

The lower brasses are a bit too loud around section F

Clarinets played really nicely at section H till J

The ending the band played it very well and very blended in together.

Overall I like school 2.

-it sounded like it was perfect (at least the first part)

-triangle(or something) feels off tempo

-able to keep dynamics quite well(if loud then stay loud, if soft then stay soft)

-I feel like tempo is off(or I'm not clear how it's supposed to sound)

-I feel like all of them were synchronized

-but I think school did very well overall
