This assignment was my first exposure to the 5 question lesson plan template. We did five different lesson plans in this format over the course of the semester. I adapted already existing lesson plans into this format and incorporated trends like disciplinary literacy to improve them. When answering the questions in the lesson plan, it was good to know I had subconsciously included things in my lessons that made the transfer easier. I wanted to showcase a success lesson plan that I created and implemented.

This is honestly my favorite thing I have created in this program. I love teaching personal finance, and investing is one unit students are always engaged in. I made this infographic to use in my class, and am working on making an assignment to go with it. It is simple, appealing, and includes links to make it more helpful. Peoples' biggest complaint about finances and investing is that it is complicated, so I made this to break it down for my students. My professor even said it looks like something a financial planning group would put out.

This was an assignment that, truthfully, I did not think was worth it at the time. I doubted the impact a community, even a virtual one, could have on me as a teacher. I followed all of these people on social media, and built a teacher community outside of my co-workers. I get helpful tips and tricks from them, but I also see their lives outside of teaching which reminds me that my life doesn't have to revolve around teaching. I wanted to share this because I did not see the importance of having a professional learning network, but have benefited from being forced to create one. It is almost like teachers have a reason behind their assignments.

Unit Analysis from ESED 7131 Spring 24

This unit analysis really guided me to focus on areas where I needed improvement. While I did not make one of these for every unit I teach, I did use this to improve all of my units. I included this in my curation because it is important to remember we could always be improving something. Without honest reflection of our lessons and units, it is difficult to know what works and what doesn't. When I made this assignment, I was embarrassed that I could not put proficient in any area. Now, I still could not say I am proficient, but I have made an effort to start developing each of the dimensions.

Rubric Assessment Measure from EDUF 7134 Fall 23

This is my most used tool that I created while in the program. My government department now uses this rubric that I created for our Political Process Unit. Students need clear expectations for their work. This was the first class I took in the program, and I have created many more rubrics since then. I have not only seen growth in my rubric building skills, but also in the work that my students produce since they have a clear rubric.

Annotated Bibliography from EDUR 7130 Spring 24

This is an Annotated Bibliography from my 2nd semester in the program. My research was based on the perceptions and effectiveness of online learning. It was not perfect and could be improved upon, but it was my first AB of the program. I have grown a lot in my APA formatted writing and in virtual teaching practices. I wanted to show work I did really well on and work that I struggled on to exemplify the growth I have had throughout the program.
