A single white rose,

Laying in the bloody rain,

With drips of red,

Falling gracefully away.

Though despite this display,

The white rose seemed to glow.

It illuminated the darkness,

And the path that was shown.

Soon, a translucent, white butterfly,

Appeared from the dark.

And amidst the rain,

It drank from the rose’s heart.

Delightful, yet exotic this was.

Though soon the butterfly glimmered,

And fluttered peacefully up high,

In the dark night sky,

Beneath the bloody moon.

My heart aches that you are gone

Thought its almost been a year
