Women worked harder so why not let them vote? Well men still didn't want women to vote because they degraded them since they were women. They still thought women were weak and didn't deserve such responsible positions. But many women like Susan B. Anthony still illegally cast their own ballots which made the women feel stronger about how they will achieve their goal of finally being important in politics.

The fifteenth amendment was adopted into the constitution in 1870. It was created to give African Americans the right to vote. The amendment says that citizens of the united states will be allowed to vote no matter what they have done, what they look like, or their background. African Americans were discriminated by making it harder to vote with tax polls and literacy tests. But with them being able to vote it created more opportunity for the congress to become more diverse.
