Sci-fi thriller with deep philosophical undertones. One of those "what if?" books that really gets you thinking, but also has a suspenseful plot.

Somewhat short but amazingly well-written novel. Incredibly interesting and unique characters in this Sci-Fi/Speculative Fiction work. Contains themes of morality, identity, racism, classism, and fairness. Many parallels to the modern world, but the book also stands on its own with a unique main character and plot.

Felix Ever After - Kacen Callender
- Good book for queer youth, it shows a few struggles of a person in this community
Proxy - Alex London
- Basically, this book reminds me of The Whipping Boy if it were sci-fi with just a touch of magic.
Black Wings Beating - Alex London
- Alex London is a very good author, and this series is one that I've read at least three times. It's got some very interesting plot points, and just keeps you hooked the whole time
The Thousandth Floor - Katharine McGee
- This series is one I've read twice. Despite some unconventional plot points, it paints an amazing story; Perfect people are perhaps less perfect than they seem.
What if it's Us? - Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera
- Both are amazing authors, and the book is a testament to endings and new beginnings, as is the next one in the series.
They Both Die at the End - Adam Silvera
- This story is peak angsty romance, it's one of my favorites.
Check out the rest of Albertalli and Silvera's works as well, they're absolutely wonderful, and have a wonderful insight into the eyes of teenagers
