For example, the Proclaimers or Deacon Blue. 

At my Placement, Clients are able to develop their social, cultural, emotional skills by helping take part in activities such as planting trees, taking part in Makaton classes to improve their communication especially 

At my Placement, Clients are able to socialise with staff and clients by taking part in parties, handed out cake to clients and are able to socialise in different activities or able to engage in community walks.

At my Placement, Clients are able to acquire Material Objects through staff taking in objects such as footballs, pebbles or donations from Organisations such as Football Shirts etc.. 

At Shannon's Placement, The school is able to help clients gain qualifications such as NAT4, Nat5's and they are able to integrate with other pupils, being able to socialise and get to take in Work Experience within the ground of the School or within the Community.

Each person is given an extra valued time and support to pursue there's hopes and aspirations. Each person has certain qualities and traits about themselves and that given more importance .

Increase their qualifications ? My service doesn't have anyone of capacity but I would imagine if someone has the verbal language to communicate this could be adapted and there's wishes to gain a qualification respected and supported .

Help develop skills ? Each persons care is person centred, therefore if skills that seem to be lacking could be enhanced through activities taking place and more focus on individual skills .

Opportunities to socialise ? The setting itself is a 24/7 care environment. staff are in at all times there's a social aspect for the people in the house from different staff brining different experiences and aspects to their care.
The housemates are living in a shared accommodation and this offers some form of socialising. If anyone had the capacity to communicate with one another I'm sure they would.

Acquiring material objects/items? 
my setting allow key workers to buy things for the people we support as they don't have the capacity to choose or decline objects and items. Each persons key worker would look at what they may need clothes or personal care products wise and take the decision to purchase the products .

engage in institutions ? The people we support attend various groups at different places around Aberdeen.

Which helps them realise their likes and dislikes. They can then expand on this by attending more sessions in their 1-1 time or with their key worker. 
If any of them wanted to study it could be looked into for them and if it would be viable for them to achieve. 
They are all given the choice to volunteer work and attend various classes to gain new skills. Also the staff work with them showing them how to be independent.

Building their confidence in order for them to participate within the group. Enable them to voice their own opinions so that you can gain an understanding of their hobbies and what they like and dislike. 
I help develop their skills by sensory activities and basic body exercise, supporting them to be part of cognitive activities which stimulate their brain.
Encouraging service users to socialise with others within the day centre, going out on day trips to socialise and join in with community activities. 
Take part in activities - sensory, relaxation room, baking, TV room, jigsaw's and physical games. This gives individual's a chance to socialise, learn new skills and developing their personality.

Peep progression pathway to gain qualifications- can move onto further education or become practitioner.
Each group is the chance to meet new mothers from different backgrounds.
By doing various activities the service users get to try new things taking them out of their comfort zone allowing them to become a more rounded person, it also allows them to realise their likes and dislikes helping them to understand their own wants and needs.
Clashieknowe allows and provides transport for service users to attend a local lunch club to socialise with other people in the community and give them a break from their flats within the building. .

they also have the opportunity to undergo confidence building workshops and practice interview skills to help them move out of the service and onto other things.
often their are group days out or social gatherings and fundraisers that give the service users the opportunity to socialise outwith the service too. 
we encourage individuals to engage with institutions by encouraging and supporting them to access work, placements and move onto further education once they have gained more confidence and skills
