Russ has been one of my main inspirations in pursuing my own music career due to his come up being just a producer for his friend who was rapping until he was given the oppurtunity or more took it upon himself to start singing and rapping himself,(These are my own words) hes a self taught pro tools genius who had a dream and never once gave up on it releasing a new song every day for nearly a year before finally getting recognised

Russ's early inspirations were G-Unit, 50 Cent and Eminem. He produced beats for around six years before he attempted to record himself rapping. Russ is known for his songs being produced, mixed, mastered, engineered, written, and performed by himself. The only producer he has collaborated with is Scott Storch. Most of his songs contain hip hop and R&B elements, while combining rapping and singing on the hook. His style has been described by Uproxx as a "raspy, hardbody rap flow, and lilting, almost drunken singing voice"https://rapandhiphop.fandom.com/wiki/Russ#Musical_style_and_influences. artistry section

Skrillex influences my music style in that he incorporates hip hop artists into his EDM deep/dark house style of music , he recently did a live DJ mix on you tube showcasing his most recent albumn which i am absolutely blown away by and one of my biggest goals is to one day produce music of a similar format .(Skrillex)“I’ve been deep into electronic music my entire life. The first records I ever owned were ‘Fat of Land’ by the Prodigy and ‘Come To Daddy’ by Aphex Twin,” raves Sonny Moore, better known as emerging electronic visionary SKRILLEX. “Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails were also early influences. I’ve been dabbling in making electronic tracks on programs like Fruity Loops since I was 14 years old.”

SKRILLEX is part of a new generation of artists that refuse to be restricted by preconceived notions or outside expectations. “Genre has never been important to me,” he insists. “I’ve never thought about music that way.”OWSLA label founder

.Influences :Moore has cited Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails[73] and the Doors[74] as early influences. Daft Punk, Moore said he was first exposed to electronic dance music after attending the duo's highly praised 2006 Coachella set.Electronic dance music producer Skrillex believes that a certain culture and aspect of the genre will go away because the ratio of businesspeople is trumping the ratio of actual artistry. Before making another album, Skrillex thinks that it is important to re-evaluate and start from the ground up of what it means to make and release music.

Eminems music played a vital role in russes rise to fame being a white rapper aswell in a black dominated genre of music , Russ gained inspiration from em in that he realised he could do it to and indeed has , His influence on russ would be his fast style rapping and angry kind of lyrics about women etc(Ref. south pawers). Eminem being one of the first white rappers to really make an influence on the rap scene because of his outlandish and outspoken lyrics aswell as taking it upon himself to be a major part of the studio producing along side Dr.Dre. I originally got interested in rap and hip-hop via 50 Cent and Eminem. Then I got into, it was in high school, I was a freshman in high school in ’06 so, when Lil Wayne was going crazy. I just remember being in high school when freestyles were dropping and the mixtapes.

He’s said that he saw our live show with the pyramid in 2007 and it made him want to make music, but it feels like he’s not copying our formula.
