You can use Ir a + infinitive to express an action in the immediate future. It means "going to do something".
Por ejemplo:
Ellos van a trabajar mañana. They are going to work tomorrow.
Voy a mirar la tele ahora.  I'm going to watch TV now.

You can also use the prepositon "a" with the verb Ir to express going to a place. Just remember, a+el =al
Voy al cine. I'm going to the movies.
¿Vas al teatro? Are you going to the theater?  BUT...
Vamos a la tienda. We are going to the store.
