Biografia da Minha Avó Elzinha

Minha avó Elzinha é uma mulher admirável e cheia de histórias. Ela nasceu em Piúma, há 90 anos, e desde muito jovem aprendeu o valor do trabalho e da dedicação. Sempre foi uma pessoa forte, simples e de coração generoso, que fez da vida uma lição de amor e coragem.

Com muito esforço e carinho, criou seus quatro filhos, sendo o alicerce da família. Trabalhadora e determinada, nunca mediu esforços para cuidar de todos ao seu redor. Além disso, é conhecida por fazer um bolinho de banana delicioso, que todos na família amam e esperam com alegria.

Biografia da minha mãe

Minha mãe nasceu em 1984, na cidade de Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, no Espírito Santo. Desde jovem, sempre foi uma mulher muito batalhadora, trabalhadora e dedicada à família, servindo de exemplo de força e coragem para todos nós.

Em 2002, ela teve minha irmã, em 2004 nasceu meu irmão e, em 2007, nasci eu. Mesmo com todas as dificuldades, minha mãe nunca desistiu de lutar para nos dar uma vida melhor. Ela sempre trabalhou muito para sustentar a casa e garantir que nada nos faltasse.

Durante sua vida profissional, trabalhou quatro anos fazendo faxina no Capaac, cinco anos no Posto de Molas Santa Cruz, também atuou na cozinha de um abrigo e, mais tarde, como cozinheira na Escola Lacerda de Aguiar, em Piúma. Foram anos de muito esforço, dedicação e amor pelo que faz.

Zumbi dos Palmares was a Brazilian leader who fought against slavery. He was born in 1655 in Alagoas, Brazil. When he was a child, he was captured by the Portuguese and was baptized with the name Francisco. Later, he escaped and returned to Palmares, a community of runaway slaves called a quilombo.

Zumbi became the leader of Palmares and protected his people from attacks by the Portuguese army. He defended freedom, equality, and the right of Black people to live in peace. He led many battles and inspired other enslaved people to fight for their freedom.

In 1695, Zumbi was betrayed and killed, but his courage and resistance became a symbol of the struggle for freedom in Brazil. Today, he is remembered as a national hero and a symbol of Black pride.

Aleijadinho Barroco, was a sculptor, architect and ornamentist of colonial Brazil, considered the greatest representative of the Minas Gerais Baroque. Born in 1738 in Vila Rica (present-day Ouro Preto), he was the son of a Portuguese architect and an enslaved woman. He learned his trade from his father and uncle, becoming an artist renowned for his works in soapstone and wood. Around 1777, he contracted an illness that caused severe physical deformities, resulting in the nickname "Aleijadinho", but he continued to work, tying tools to his hands, until his death in 1814.

Hi! My name is Elizangela Custodio, but everyone here in Piúma calls me Nanja. I'll be 48 years old in 2025, and if you live in Espírito Santo, you know that life here in the "City of Shells" is marked by the tide and the smell of salt.

I'm a cook. I've worked at the same kiosk on Praia Central for years, preparing the moqueca that people love and watching the sun rise over the sea. It's not easy to make a living in an economy that thrives on summer, but we manage.

My greatest achievement is my children. I became a mother young, and they have become my strength.

Mudou-se para o Rio de Janeiro para estudar e, mais tarde, ingressou na Escola Militar, onde se formou engenheiro militar. Seu talento logo chamou atenção, e Rebouças passou a trabalhar em grandes obras de infraestrutura, como sistemas de abastecimento de água, portos, ferrovias e projetos de urbanização. Tornou-se um dos engenheiros mais respeitados do Império.

Além da engenharia, André Rebouças foi uma figura fundamental na luta pela abolição da escravidão. Junto de intelectuais como Joaquim Nabuco e José do Patrocínio, ele defendia a liberdade dos negros e acreditava em um Brasil mais justo, baseado na educação e na igualdade de oportunidades. Também propôs projetos de reforma agrária, defendendo que ex-escravos recebessem terras para viver com dignidade.

Rebouças manteve uma relação de amizade e confiança com a princesa Isabel, apoiando o movimento que resultou na Lei Áurea, em 1888. Porém, com a queda da monarquia em 1889, sofreu forte perseguição política e racismo, sendo forçado ao exílio. Viveu em países da África e da Europa, sempre escrevendo sobre ciência, sociedade e política.

André Rebouças faleceu em 1898, na ilha da Madeira, Portugal. Sua morte, envolta em mistério, ocorreu durante um período de profunda solidão. Ainda assim, seu legado permanece vivo: ele é lembrado como um dos maiores engenheiros brasileiros e um dos mais corajosos defensores da liberdade e dos direitos humanos no país.

André Rebouças was one of the most important Brazilian engineers, inventors, and intellectuals of the 19th century. Born on January 13, 1838, in Bahia, he was the son of Antônio Pereira Rebouças, a highly prestigious Black lawyer, and Carolina Pinto Rebouças. From a young age, André stood out for his intelligence, discipline, and desire to transform Brazil.

He moved to Rio de Janeiro to study and later entered the Military School, where he graduated as a military engineer. His talent quickly attracted attention, and Rebouças began working on major infrastructure projects, such as water supply systems, ports, railways, and urbanization projects. He became one of the most respected engineers of the Empire.

In addition to engineering, André Rebouças was a key figure in the fight for the abolition of slavery. Along with intellectuals such as Joaquim Nabuco and José do Patrocínio, he defended the freedom of Black people and believed in a more just Brazil, based on education and equal opportunities. He also proposed land reform projects, arguing that former slaves should receive land to live with dignity.André Rebouças maintained a relationship of friendship and trust with Princess Isabel, supporting the movement that resulted in the Golden Law (Lei Áurea) in 1888. However, with the fall of the monarchy in 1889, he suffered strong political persecution and racism, being forced into exile. He lived in countries in Africa and Europe, always writing about science, society, and politics.

André Rebouças died in 1898 on the island of Madeira, Portugal. His death, shrouded in mystery, occurred during a period of profound solitude. Even so, his legacy remains alive: he is remembered as one of the greatest Brazilian engineers and one of the most courageous defenders of freedom and human rights in the country.

Vou contar a história dos meus avós.

Minha avó se chama Cida e, desde que eu nasci, ela sempre ajudou minha mãe a cuidar de mim.

Meu avô se chama Selmo. Ele sempre ajudou minha mãe a me colocar para dormir e foi como um segundo pai para mim. Tudo o que ele podia fazer por mim, ele fazia — ele e minha avó.

Quando meu avô chegava do trabalho, ele sempre trazia balas para mim, e minha mãe brigava, rsrsrs.

Quando minha mãe começou a trabalhar fora, eu passei a ficar com meus avós, e foi uma experiência muito boa. Nós fomos morar no sítio, onde havia cavalos e bois, e eu adorava quando meu avô me levava para ver os animais.

Eles fizeram parte das melhores experiências da minha vida.

My grandma's name is Cida, and since I was born she's helped my mom take care of me. My grandpa's name is Selmo, and he always helped my mom put me to sleep. My grandpa was like a second father to me; he did everything he could for me, him and my grandma. My grandpa always brought me candy when he came home from work, and my mom used to get mad, haha. My mom started working outside the home, and I had to stay with my grandparents. It was wonderful, and we went to live on a farm. There were horses and oxen, and I loved it when my grandpa took me to see them. It was the best experience of my life. This text brought back great memories.
