Like many people in Arizona, I do not own a sweater. Even though I live in the white mountains, I do not like anything with sleeves unless it is a zipper jacket that I can take on and off as the weather changes. Anyway, here I am in my upside down elf Christmas T-shirt wearing Santa hat and with my reindeer ears! He’s just like me … upside down most of the time!! Fun, fun, fun! 🙃😂🙃

My Ugly Christmas Sweater Failure AKA "Say a prayer for all the working parents during this holiday season"

Back story: My daughter needed a Christmas sweater last weekend because she was going to ride on a float with her cheer team in the town Christmas parade. Rather than buy a Christmas sweater, I decided to make a special one for her...you know, earn some "super mom" points. I spent hours making this sweater. I painted on holly leaves and red sequin berries. I sewed on actual colorful ornaments, a string of flashing lights, a bunch of silver jingle bells, and lots of red and green ribbons. THEY ALL FELL OFF WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF HER WEARING IT!!!! BEFORE THE PARADE EVEN STARTED!!!! Now it just looks like this! I have decided this is now my ugly Christmas sweater which will forever be a reminder of how much it SUCKS to be a working parent during the holidays. (And next time, I am buying her a Christmas sweater from Walmart.)
