There were little nuggets of information that resonated with me. The photo with the girl holding the camera - everyone has different coloured lenses and how we look at a child differs as well due to these different coloured lenses. But we can always adjust our settings, make the images sharper and catch those passing fleeting moments. To do so, we need to be prepared and be ready to adapt to any situations as how we always do in our daily interactions with pupils with LDs

'capturing' moments (strengths) of our students and put on the right lens.  How we see our students will determine how we respond to them in our teaching which may lead to how they learn.

My picture is the diver with a dolphin. I like the way my group has linked up all our ideas into a story:

- drowning 
- in an unknown place
- lost and find directions
- quieten and focus 
- feed/help the dolphin (child with learning needs)

After listening to all the sharings, I have gained new insights and I especially like the sharing on the photography one where we should not let the good catchable  moments pass. We should capture them in time.

The picture that I choose shows somebody is writing. I choose it because I think the first thing for us to do is planning. This is my first year to teach a group of students with LDs. This picture remind me to begin with the end in mind. Every day I need to write down what I can do to help my students. I Need to observe my students and record their behaviors & performance during class. This helps me to determine which strategies to use. I hope my students with writing disabilities can finally be confident in writing after intervention.
