Baby food from a company named Abbott had to recall 7 of its products due to bacteria being present at the factory site; this resulted in 2 deaths of infants. The formula shortage has consumed children as they are suffering due to not having baby food. America's import regulations had a huge contribution to importing baby formula ingredients. Families were dealing with out of stock stores with long shipping arrival dates as well as some companies price gouging. Prices rose to as much as $80 and someplace was seen for $500. This shortage caused a huge surge in prices for baby formula. The Fda responded by lowering the import laws on baby formula ingredients as well as Joe Biden requiring companies to prioritize the allocation of baby food ingredients.

As of 2022 day cares are having staffing shortages which are caused by payment needed by daycare workers increased as many have left to inflation. The shortage of work leads to a long waitlist for parents and their children in order to have a place to take their children. On top of being a struggle to find child care they have a huge problem with baby formula recall at a gigantic rate. With all these problems for new mothers and their children these problems seem to be overlooked by the government as mothers must find a way to get through it.

First time home buyers are getting squeezed out by corporations and investors. It is more of a struggle now, than ever for first time home buyers to get something. Homes are being bought by corporations and being either rented out or sold for absurd prices. About 15% of home buyers are going to be shut out this year.

this makes it much more expensive to get materials with trucks needing to pay for fuel to transport goods cost more due to the price of fuel.

Housing affordability prices have been on the rise since 2018 making it hard for most Americans to afford houses in the country. this inflation is caused by a shortage of building materials as well as slowed construction and an influx of demand.

The influx in inflation is causing it to cost more for lumber as well as any other building material needed due to the supply shortage which can also be said for construction equipment which needs fuel to be used for long hours of the day.
