Criticism & Feedback

Criticism and feedback are not just essential elements of growth but also integral parts of my artistic process. Embracing constructive criticism has been a cornerstone of my development as an artist, pushing me to refine my skills, expand my perspectives, and strive for excellence always.

Criticism, when approached with an open mind and a willingness to learn, serves as a catalyst for improvement. It provides valuable insights into areas that require attention, challenges assumptions, and encourages creative experimentation. Through feedback, I have learned to view critique not as a threat to my identity as an artist but as a tool for honing my craft and evolving artistically.

One of the most profound sources of criticism and feedback in my life has been my family. Growing up as the youngest child with two older sisters and an older brother, I was constantly exposed to diverse viewpoints and opinions. Our discussions and debates were not just lively exchanges but also invaluable lessons in perspective-taking, and also consistently humbled when I presented opinions that had much more wisdom than mine.

Within the artistic realm, I actively seek out feedback from peers, mentors, and audiences. Each critique, whether positive or constructive, contributes to my growth as an artist. It's not about seeking validation but rather about embracing the opportunity to learn, adapt, and refine my artistic voice.

As an artist, I believe in the power of collaboration and collective growth. Feedback fuels this collaborative spirit, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and pushing boundaries. It's through this process of give-and-take that art evolves, resonates, and leaves a lasting impact on audiences.
