    Using an old cereal or snack box, cut it up and glue on one flat side to make a raised   picture,  (Portrait, robot, animal).  Lay a paper over it and make a crayon rubbing.  Now you have a collagraph print!

    Have everyone at home try using the same object (trace the shadow to work on it while another person borrows the object, then take turns replacing it and sharing your finished picture!  Don’t forget a photograph of your work like these!!!
    1. Put a common object on a piece of paper, make sure it is casting a strong shadow, so sit by a window with lots of light, or outside.  Inside you can use a lamp or even flashlight (phones have them too :)  
    2.  Use your imagination and anything you want to draw with.  
    3. Try keys, toys, plants….take a paper around with the light, set it down to capture the shadow and look and think a few moments, let your imagination loose!!!

    POINTILLISM is when you put tiny dots of colors together, repeatedly, till it fills an entire area or space.  So rather than the painter mixing up these dots of paint, your brain mixes it up so your eyes see it as a single picture rather than a combination of dos.  Try to create a painting in the style of Georges Seurat. Make a national monument (Arch is one), a landscape, a favorite character, or your own idea.

    Materials needed...
    - Q-tips, the back of a pencil, or any  thing that makes a smaller circle and ink pad or paints OR
    - markers (the smaller the markre the tinier the dot the more dots you need to make-so make a small picture with skinny marker
    - paper
    - a pencil to lightly draw out an idea.

    Put some paint on a paper towel on a plate, stamp away.  
    Try making a repeating pattern or frame for a drawing or photograph.
