The first chapel of Giron, Nuestra Senora de las Nieves, is located in front of the park of the same name and dates back 400 years. It is one of the most photographed prayer sites in the country, as a traditional place of the Old Town of Colonia. In its enclosure is the image of the Virgin of Our Lady of the Snows, inside a dressing room. This sculpture carved in wood and its face in bronze.

Data on its construction are unknown. There are two cemeteries in the city of San Juan Girón. The one of San Isidro, is badly called "Cemetery of the poor" possibly because in this Cemetery can be placed corpses underground, although it also has vaults like the one of Our Lady of Mongui. The Cemetery of San Isidro has this beautiful chapel oratory.
