         <title>In our break out room, we connected the Pro-human lens to Freire&#39;s idea of centering the student. This helped me start to understand more about student agency in the classroom. Giving students more of a voice and opportunity to explore their own ideas and how they see &amp; experience the world. </title>

Equality seems to give everyone the same thing: everyone gets the same amount of time on tests, same resources, etc regardless of their needs. On the other hand, I see equity as meeting the person where they're at and providing support and resources depending on their specific needs. For example, some students need more time on tests, or need additional scaffolding for an assignment, or need help accessing food and housing in order to be successful</div>]]></description>
