Relation between work life issues and risky behaviours
Workers who are stressed may cope with that by unhealthy behaviors like eating too much, smoking, drinking alcohol. When they have low income they may lack money for buying good food and taking time for cooking, besides financial stress. Therefore, poor work conditions may be a social determinant of risky personal behaviour. For instance, cleaning workers are more obese and over weighted than average. Therefore, we should address work related issues in order to make it possible that workers change their personal behaviours

In low-income and middle-income countries, epidemiological evidence suggests that improving social and economic conditions could prevent or reduce incidence of low back pain, but could also create expectations and demands for medical investigations and low-value health care that paradoxically increase the risk of long-term back-related disability (what we term the low back pain paradox).
