Dahyun oddly do feel safe having skinship with Momo because no matter how intense Momo goes she lets her. Dahyun never seem uncomfortable in Momo's arms. A fic that captures this dynamic the most for me is the ever-iconic catch me if you can (if you wanna see me again). Even here, Mina loves Nayeon silently from a distance and Nayeon doesn't even know what she has until it slips through her fingertips.

I also noticed that when it comes to writing Mina and Nayeon, they often bless the readers with a sense of uncertainty that adds a great amount of flavor to the narrative and makes it easier to get invested in their characters. Because like many of us, the only thing that stops them from getting what they want most times is themselves.

On a completely unrelated note, even just... looking at them together... god, they look SO GOOD together like I don't even know how to explain this.

One thing you see them laughing together, then you see them ignore THE HECK out of each other (most of the times, social distancing). 
   But, that doesn’t mean I will un-ship them or even swerve. It’s what makes this whole thing fun in a way, you’ll never know what you’re going to get out of them. Unlike other ships, they rarely breathe yet when they do minayeon shippers GO CRAZY. 
  Also, they’re CHARISMA tho. They just look good together. Even their names is like a puzzle piece you can connect. 
   For the minayeon authors though, they keep angst-ing this tragic ship. IS IT FUN? IS IT FUN TO SEE US SUFFER? ;-; But still, I love reading minayeon fics because... I don’t know actually. Minayeon fics made me ship minayeon in the first place. 
   Anyways, I ship them because every bit of interaction I get is like a Christmas gift from above, you’ll never know what you’ll get HAHAHA (most of the time you get nothing)

Anyway so here some fic recommendations. (my personal favorites)
1. Shot through the heart (and you’re to blame) by xylomylo - literally my all time favorite minayeon fic. Beautifully written. The line about unrequited love is one of my fave lines in a fic. I was never the same after reading that lol xylomylo has a lot of other fic for other ships and their so so good too!!

2. when i think of home, i think of you by ddeulgi - another all time favorite Q.Q ddeulgi is my favorite minayeon author, literally every fic is a masterpiece!! this was one of the first minayeon fic i’ve read and damn it’s what made me the minayeonator i am today. i keep rereading this because it’s just THAT good. “they are enough” Q.Q

3. hold my hands as i’m lowered by dblckparade - AHH a “his dark materials” au Q.Q loved every part of this fic. HALF. OF. ATLAS. made me want to learn morse code again lmao it’s so good pls read it and their other stories too. (if you’re up for angst go read their divorce au; dancing with your ghost)

i think the most important part of samo's relationship is their friendship, even before any romance. it's obvious that they're best friends,  but i think a lot of times that can be something people say dismissively, a title so that fans can group certain members together, yknow? however, with samo, i feel like it's easy to tell that they truly do know each other inside and out. there's a couple moments that have happened between them that made me realize that they really are best friends.

the biggest one is the letters they wrote to each other (https://imgur.com/a/4sYxI). if you compare them to the other sets of letters the members wrote to each other,  you'll find that samo's is really unique. their letters are purely (and equally, which is important to note) goofy and lighthearted. momo expresses that she feels awkward complimenting sana, even though she does it without issue in her letter to jeongyeon and sana pretends to struggle when it comes to telling momo that she loves her (at least thats how i interpreted it,, sana's a lil weirdo so idk). this stuck out to me because it shows how comfortable they are with one another, i think anyone who has had a best friend knows that kind of relationship, where you're always joking with each other in a way you don't with anyone else.

also, sana's vlive when momo comes in and they end up just goofing off for the rest of the night (https://www.vlive.tv/video/161088?channelCode=EDBF).. there's so much there that i think shows how close they are, like when they're thinking of games to play and realize they know too much about each other to play a game where they guess one another's preferences.

one more moment, time to twice ep 1. oh my god. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RIbfPbxu8M) from the second sana reads momo's name, they're giggling messes together. tzuyu doesn't even want to be on their team because she knows that the two of them together will be too distracted/wild. them collapsing in laughter together while trying to do their intro dance is one of my favorite moments of theirs. i think their overall dynamic is really set on display here, how they can just laugh with each other over nothing, and are extremely comfortable and happy in each other's presence (sana giving momo a soft back hug... lawd). 

there are so many other things, of course. the way sometimes we have absolutely no idea what they're talking about because they start going with an inside joke, sana sleeping in momo's bed or just being in momo's room often, the fucking rings. with all of that being said, i think when you do start to think of samo in a romantic way, it's unique because of the giant foundation of friendship that they're relationship is built on. it's fun to play with the concept of them already knowing each other so well and dealing with the risk of navigating a new relationship with someone you've been close to for so long. there's also the tension of knowing someone so incredibly well, being aware of all their strongest and weakest spots and feeling an even more intense responsibility to be careful with them.
