and more who took a stand

against those unjust people.

We celebrate people who changed minds,

not ones who terrorized.

We celebrate those who resisted, who fought in peace,

who made speeches. 

We celebrate those people,

That's who.

The water from a truck that is supposed to be used for saving but instead is used for killing

All of this because of what? A skin tone?

But we fought we  walked miles and miles

We were put in jail

We weren't allowed in Jail

All because of what, a skin tone

So I ask why? Why does a skin color define you?

But then I remember your race, hair color, gender, who you like and don't like doesn't define you. 

Be who you are and embrace it! Love everything about you!

Is this really what they wanted?

To kill?

To spread fear and dread?

Is that what they wanted?

To take lives for no reason?

To take innocent kids from their families?

Be grateful for your kind-hearted friends who are always there to support you.

Be grateful for your family who cares enough to take care of you.

Be grateful for your homework because that means you have a school to go to.

Be grateful for your health.

Be grateful for your pets who are playing all night, that means they're happy and healthy.

Be grateful for your chores because that means that you are responsible and have a home.

Be grateful for when you get hurt, that proves that you were having fun.

Be grateful for the hard times because these are the times that you're getting stronger.
