Getting used to a whole language where ‘s is not a thing and every noun has a gender is quite different. Verb conjugation is easy aside from irregular verbs. A lot of the words make a similar sound and are spelled more like the sound, for example a “ph” in english will be an “f” in the spanish version of that word. As for culture there are alot of things that are different. The sizes of the countries are quite different so America has a lot of different climates compared to costa rica which is mostly just warm weather. They also only have a wet and dry season while we have 4 with different weathers and charastics. They eat a lot more rice and beans than us and the food is pretty different. 

I hope to learn a lot more about the language and I would like to speak fluently in it. I just see a lot of media and information that is in spanish online and I wanna be able to speak the language so i can broaden my horizons. I can also go to more places and just do more things easier. 

Overall my online experience has been great. If I miss something in class I can just rewatch a lecture and I'm already used to doing zoom meetings and such with all the covid pandemic stuff. 

As for the future, I am taking spanish 2 next semester and I intend to take 3 if that's an option. I want to be able to speak fluently and it's easier if i learn it now rather than later. I'm getting better at speaking it and understand concepts like the lack of ‘s and verb conjugation. 

The instructor was great and helped out alot. My only problem was that he went a little bit fast on lectures but I can rewatch them anyways so that's not that big of a deal.
