         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>I notice that since 2012 our graduation rate has increased from 61% to 83%.<br><br>I notice that the percentage of student fails has a way of increasing and decreasing without a discernible pattern. Perhaps it's a reflection of the nature of those particular cohorts? We often say things like, "This is a challenging 'class'" (by 'class' we of course mean the specific cohort).<br><br>I notice that the only grades that have remained constant over the years are As, Bs, and Cs.<br><br>I notice that most students believe that the adults here at LAHSA want them to go to college.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Graduation rate is undeniably increasing, bravo LAHSA. <br>The number of F's that students are earning rose last year, though perhaps it is an outlier, the larger trend seems to be going down.<br>In all three categories of English Learner, our numbers have risen with the most significant increase in recent arrivals (i.e. 3 years or less).<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I notice that our 2016-2017 EL population with less than 3 years of English has increased by 12.9% since 2012-13. In raw numbers we have gone from 19 ELs to 42 students.&nbsp;There is a 1.9% increase in population for students with 4 years of English. <br><br>This explains why we have had to open a new ELD course to meet the varying needs of students at different levels. Language supports for general education teachers who have EL students in&nbsp; their courses is an area of need.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I noticed that in the school experience survey there are some things that students have answered where we as a school scored higher than the district average. For example: In Self Efficacy: B(+4%), C(+4%) D (+1%) and overall efficacy (by 2%). In Future Orientation: B (+2%), D (+6%), E &amp;F (+8%), G (+11%), and overall by +5%.<br><br>If I was reading this as a parent, The future orientation part of this survey would make me feel good about the the college going culture at the school.</div>]]></description>
