Before starting this course, I already had a basic understanding of Logic Pro. As the course progressed, I became more confident in using Logic and was able to produce compositions at a much higher level. Being able to create diverse music and challenged to create new pieces of art that I genuinely at college motivates me to keep going and inspires me to keep improving and creating more.

This E.P represents my skill, effort, and deep love for music. For the first time in my music career, everything you hear and see in this project will be created entirely by me. It’s a personal advancement and represents a true reflection of my growth and dedication to my music.

Poltergeist, also known as The Noisy Ghost, is more than just a name or title. It represents me. My rap name I go by is Casparr, so the connection to the name of this project is natural and meaningful. This project is not just about music—it's about my identity, self-expression, and stepping into the light after years of quiet creation.

The Concept:

Poltergeist is the story of a ghost who has stopped hiding. After a long period of silence and waiting, he’s ready to be seen and heard. He carries the memories of his past self, of broken ties, cherished relationships and deep rooted emotions. Everything he has been through has affected him in various ways, he often looks to the moon to seek comfort

when he felt there was nobody around to understand him.

The moments he endured shaped him but his journey was delayed by the struggles he faced—but now, he no longer wants anything or anyone to hold him back. He’s spent time in the shadows, quietly planning and perfecting his craft. Now, The Noisy Ghost is ready to break the silence.

This is his moment of release—his chance to fully embrace the noise he creates and the artist he’s become.

I felt more lost than ever—alone, stuck, and completely unmotivated.

After a while, I glanced up at the night sky and saw the full moon, its pale light dancing on the water. In that quiet moment, something really shifted inside me. The moon was isolated but it still shone, carving its own path through all the darkness. It gave me comfort, like I’d found a silent companion in its glow. That vision also reminded me of why I make music: to turn the mess of my thoughts and experiences into something that resonates—even in loneliness, there’s strength and beauty.

That January night gave me the clarity I needed. I realised I can make something of myself and to not quit no matter how I'm feeling.

So this E.P. would be more than just songs it would be a declaration of who I am and proof that I can turn a dream into reality.

I wanted the track to reflect those moments when life gets tough and you feel like you’re shrinking under the weight of everything. So many of us hide because we’re scared of being judged or dismissed—carrying the scars of times when someone took us for granted. But as the melody unfolds, there’s a reminder: it’s okay to feel, it’s okay to open up, and it’s okay to have a heart that cares. After all, a warm, open heart is far more powerful than a closed, broken one.

This track is all about who I was—and who I’m becoming. I wanted everyone to dance, sing along, and tap into that rockstar energy that shapes your own future.

I built the lead melody around a guitar sample I found on Looperman—something about it instantly reminded me of the freedom I feel when I listen to Polo G’s “Fortnight.” On top of that, I layered two piano parts: a classic grand piano at the start and a softer, mellow grand closer to the hook. I added a subtle synth line to give the song a fresh flavor, and what I call the “horns of freedom” signal that there’s more to come. Finally, the drums—with a hard‑hitting kick and a driving pattern I created—give the track the energy it needs, making this song the true “Poltergeist” of the E.P.

This song captures a dream—the dream of turning every hope into reality and taking the steps to get there. I reflect on the tough times but also on the moments of pure joy—hanging out with the people who mattered most, back when responsibilities were few and life felt so carefree.

My friends and I grew up fast—too fast, really. We went from boys to men in what felt like the blink of an eye, and we faced challenges most would never believe. That journey—both the highs and the hardships is central meaning and at the heart of this track.

I stumbled on this simple, melodic loop on Looperman and knew it had potential. To bring it to life, I layered in a flute, a couple of different pianos, and some crystalline vocal chops that dance around the main melody. I played with dreamy piano variations using a bell‑toned piano to amp up the ethereal vibe and then introduced a fresh piano line after the first verse to give the track new depth and keep it interesting.

For the drums, I went with a laid‑back pattern—nothing too busy, so the sample can really breathe. Its slow groove adds just the right contrast, making the whole song feel both spacious and impactful.

What if we couldn't feel any emotions, who would we be? how would we go about our normal days? how would we build relationships with others?. There was time where I kept all my sadness, pain , fustration hidden, because I thought it was the best option since this world does not care how I feel, even moments of joy, a day to celebrate something good I did, I felt to not share and ignore my own personal victories because that voice in my head always got to me and I let it win, eventually closing myself and letting doubt and insecurity win.

This song, I made this song to represents every buried emotion in my heart. I feel so much that I can't even express how I feel anymore.

Symphony of Ghosts.

I discovered this ethereal loop on Looperman and knew right away it was perfect for the outro—I wanted a cinematic, orchestral feel to close out the E.P. I layered a classic grand piano with a warmer “parallel earth” piano, letting them gently play off each other. A soft synth and harp weave together the higher melodies, giving everything a euphoric lift. Then I brought in violins to fill out the sound, their rich presence turning the whole track into a sweeping symphony

Levelled everything out, organised everything to look clean and made sure it was all in place. I finished this quicker than expected but im happy because this song is simple yet very effective.
