This date marks the beginning of our mobility in Font Romeu. We were very happy to meet again our French friends who received us warmly in the morning. The activities we participated in today were focused on developing our social skills and the capacity to communicate efficiently, using a foreign language. We went to a harbour town on the south-eastern coast of France, Collioure. We split up into groups with both French and Romanian students and then we started a treasure hunt. It was very interactive and interesting because we had the opportunity to discover Collioure on our own. After we finished we grouped up and went together to a restaurant where we tasted delicious local dishes. The next activity was the visit of a castle where we took a lot of photos and enjoyed the landscape. We also discovered a lot about history from the French students’ presentation. In the end, we went to the beach, an activity that we loved, relaxing and talking to our friends. The winners of the treasure hunt received a game that we can play together. It was a great day!

After lunch at the cafeteria, we went to a guided tour of the school. We saw the science lab, the music classroom, the teachers room.  We also visited the dorms for the students who don’t live in Font Romeu.

Later on, we worked on the project magazine by forming international teams and writing about today's activities.

At the end of the day, we participated at a thematic dance party with traditional french and romanian dances. After a tasty feast the evening ended with Sam and Robert giving their best performances. We learned about eachothers culture and had a great time together with the students from the partener school

Our day started in a simple way with a quick review of the pages for the magazine that we did yesterday. We then took a more serious turn meeting the vice-headmaster of the school! We exchanged some words and expressed our gratitude and amazement at the school and at the opportunity for this Erasmus project.

Next on the list was a presentation from the student counsellor about the method they created to combat bullying in the school. They told us how they approach the situation, the methods they use and showed us the real numbers behind it. We were left speechless regarding how many bullies actually understood where they wronged the other person.

After the presentation we took a tour of the sport facility and we saw the swimming pool, the fencing room, the gym and so on.

The lunch at the cafeteria was delicious. We had to choose between rice with mushrooms and pasta with vegetables. For dessert we had either chocolate or coffee mousse.

In the afternoon, we had 2 amazing people who came as representatives from the European Union who prepared games and presentations for us. The games, even though simple and fun, were a way to learn more about the countries that are apart of the EU and after them we had a little test to see if we remembered all the things we spoke about. The subject of the presentation was the challanges of women through time and their accomplishments and how they were able to beat the stereotypes and opinions of men. After that the 2 people left us with smiles on their faces and we went on with our activities. Next on the list was a quick kahoot about the UE and frieze about womens accomplishments from both Romania and France.

This marked the end of the school activities so we were able to take a quick rest at the hotel before the french students took us for a dinner in their family.

The family dinner was a great opportunity for us, the romanian students, to learn in detail about their culture and their lifestyle. We played, sang songs from both countries and bonded more. All of the food was great and delicious and all of us were pleased with the experience we had.

We returned to the hotel and started to prepare ourselves for the next day with fresh forces and a good rest.

Later on, we headed off to the school to work on the sketches together with the french team, so that we can film them.

Afterwards we visited a Spanish town called Puigcerdà near the border. Firstly we visited Park Schierbeck where we saw many species of ducks, gooses, and swans. Later on we separated into groups with both romanian and french students and continued exploring the city center. Some of us went shopping and others enjoyed some traditional desserts in the coffee shops nearby. In the end we all gathered and proceeded to a traditional restaurant with tapas. We enjoyed many courses like: Patatas Bravas, Pan con tomate. Later on we returned to the hotel and said good night to our friends.
