         <title>The  Creative Process</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>When a child is able to grab whatever material they would like to create their art, they are meeting many of the Georgia Early Learning and Developmental standards. A few of these include:</em><br> SED1.4b Identifies personal characteristics, preferences, thoughts, and feelings <br><strong><em>The child kept repeating that her favorite color was pink.</em></strong><em><br> </em>SED1.4d Shows independence in his/her own choices. <br><strong><em>The child the chose, on her own, to put lime green and pink paint in the cups.</em></strong><br> CD-MA4.4c Creates and extends simple, repeating patterns. <br><strong><em>As shown in the picture, the child alternates between green and pink lines while painting.</em></strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>A child is able to develop fine-motor and language skills when working on their art. Some standards that show this are:</em><br> PDM6.4a Performs fine-motor tasks that require small-muscle strength and control. <br><strong><em>The child moves the paint brush in slanted strokes, going from one corner to the other. <br></em></strong> CLL4.4b Demonstrates use of expanded sentences and sentence structures to ask questions and/or respond verbally. <br><strong><em>The child says, "Where are the paint brushes?"<br></em></strong> CLL9.4b Uses writing tools <br><strong><em>The child folded two papers, drew a picture of half a heart, and then proceeded to cut out the hearts. <br></em></strong><br></div>]]></description>
